  • i want to say no in the sense that its not directly damaging but you’d probably improve more if you’d not drink coffee, but again if you enjoy coffee then its not a great idea to quit

Oh god, sadly DB is a hippy vegan for whom everything is toxic and cancerous. Uoi have basically foind 1 piece of evidence to say what it could be and now your asking about coffee? Maybe it’s your wife, or your shirts? wearing womens underwear?

    Hi there,
I have a strange question that i cant find the answer for. I took Tramadol/Zydol for around 7 months for back pain, ever since i stopped taking it i cannot get the effects of alcohol e.g the buzz, euphoria.
please note it is NOT a tolerance issue, i can drink and drink until im sick and not feel anything. (it was just to test how much i could drink/prove it wasnt tolerance)
i have been in abstinence from Tramadol for about a year now, im really worried im permanently damaged. any help or ideas why this is happening?
    thank you

This is a total trip! I just posted on the ‘what drugs have I taken today” thread. I take tramadol everyday, and have been for three years. The drug has totally destroyed my appreciation of alcohol. I mean I wont even drink a beer if its a hot day and the bottle is bleeding cold goodness. I hate alcohol now. That being said, tramadol has totally transformed my life. No exaggerations or BS when I say this. It takes my depression away and gives me an ‘up’ feeling of energy. Sometimes to the point where I take valium or Xanax to calm down, but I like the upper feeling anyway. I learned about Tramadol in Thailand, where I currently live! Lol! Yep moved from California to here for the easy access and mellow life style I enjoy now. I swear it’s been a huge positive impact on my life. I didn;t mention that quitting drinking has been a huge relief on my life too. It’s damn expensive and just makes one feel like shit, ultimately.

Beware of what you seem to be doing. Opiates are very dangerous drugs if not treated properly.

Yes. I am in complete agreement with you. The seizure I had was a real wake up call for me. This was when I started on them, no tolerance and just younger and dumber than I am now. I’ve since, the last three years, have gotten on a daily regiment, if you will. I like my pills, they really help me. I’m guilty. Your consideration is duly noted. Thank you.

I’ve got some errands to run. Cool forum here. I’ve been cruising around for a couple hours. I’m old now, 35!!! Not the party girl I use to be, but I’ve got my stories and I know what I like and where to get it.

That is faaaaaaaaaaaar from old lol.

Well…….. Again, you’re right. I sure do feel old at times. I’m a teacher here in Thailand, AT a high school. I emphasize that juxtaposition to my feeling OLD….. I work around hyper, eager teens all day. They’re just as peppy at eight am as at 4:30pm. I honestly can’t remember being so jazzed and hyped up, well unless I’m on holiday at a beach party. But that’s becomming less and less, so hence the tramadol. My secret hyped hyper friend that me jizzing all day. Yes, hello, my name is Leela Prince and I am an addict, but NOT an alcoholic.
I don’t much go for the Valium or xanies, they’re downers of course, and I’m an upper upper, yippie Kai yay mutha trucka!!!

Nice job, maybe understand the feeling old bit a bit better now.

It is unfortunately way too easy to subsitute one addiction with another, especially with alcohol, benzos and opiates. These (in various quantities) have finished off my Dad, two grandfathers and two uncles long before their mid 60s; although they all smoked cigarettes as well and had other health problems (which the drugs were also used to help combat the symptoms) it is a worryingly large number of relatives to go down for the same reasons…

For some reason this can be worse (healthwise) with anyone who has Asian ancestry; I do wonder though if its only because Asians do not always obviously stand out as being full with drugs even when they often are so addictions are not as quickly noticed.

It may be more of an issue amongst those who have professional occupations and therefore cannot afford to draw attention to themselves whilst at the same time taking “medicine” against a variety of medical problems (some of them very much real) is still culturally accepted and if they do get addicted or just unwell its noticed much more than someone from a lower social class who just ends up in prison or compulsory rehab (at least outside ID the death penalty is near enough gone)

This also explains the paradox of why “street drugs/hard drugs” are seen as bad and strongly punished whilst pharmacies are able to sell all sorts of similar drugs over the counter with less control…

Polydrug abuse is where its at; can’t get your favored drug just go find another one, they don’t have to even be in the same class or similar in effects to make the user happy

Ah thankfully that pretty much describes me.

    we know

    Shhhhhhhhhhh
