  • Hey, i will be visiting London from 31-October to 6-November.
    I would love to go to a Rave instead of a big comercial club but yeah, i dont really have the conections needed.
    So, if there are some nice people that could help me out it would be perfect!

    Thanks and sorry for my pretty bad English.

    PS, i am raving alot in Sweden so dont think of me as an annoying teenage hipsterboy who hates mainstream 🙂

    Welcome. I think your English is OK.

    I think you’ve come to the right placem but I suggest you read some threads and make some comments, or at least post some likes.

    C’mon da London crew, there’s a guy looking for a party here. 🙂

    Welcome to PV zaaph, hope you find the kind of party you’re looking for man.

    OB = old bill = snuten > en joke….

    Yea thanks, hope someone helps me 😀

    Haha im not a cop! How can i prove it? 😛

    Feels like its alot harder to get into the rave culture in England, im not getting anywhere

    don’t worry about the joke, it is silly British humour. in most EU countries you would not be able to become a detective into well into your 20s, after University anyway and it is also not legally permissible for police to pose as teenagers to get info.

    in reality the “English rave culture” is smaller than you think. Recently the governemnt changed and they think Sweden’s zero tolerance laws are better to follow than say Holland, so there are less events licensed than before even in London. Just yesterday I was speaking to some local promoters in my town and they say that most clubs/bars do not want any kind of “rave” music as it brings police to the venue checking on every licensing rule and more hassle to the owners.

    even advertising a legal event on this forum can result in it getting a extra licensing check.

    of course raves still happen, but you will not find info instantly no matter what country you are from. English teenagers also ask for the same info and my answer is the same. You have to wait for a bit and keep checking the various forums and then something will appear.

    Thanks! Yea here in Sweden we have a law that the police decides how much force they think an event should have but the event also needs to pay for the police… For example, we had a Hardstyle rave here with around 2000 visitors one time every year, then the police decided that they play music that atracts drugs so they said they needed to pay for 170 officers to be allowed to coninue, bankruped seconds after.

    kinda sucks imo

    Exactly the same thing here, ironically the Swedes nicked the idea from Holland (bizzarely I think I learned that the idea came from NL via a Swedish website!) but the Dutch use it more fairly (to genuinely recover the costs) than SE or UK which use it to stop the event without being courageous enough to admit they are turning their back on the idea of “liberal Europe”.
