  • Just a thought to all of you who like to shove drugs up your nostrills.

When snorting ANY substance please use your own tube. Not money, that note has probebly been used 3000 times before you and found in a urinal or something.

The idea is that you CAN catch Hepatitis C from sharing snorting equipment. You stuff the tube up yer nose, snort, nose bleeds a little and ends up on the tube and you give that tube to someone else, and so on and so on.

I have been diagnosed with Hepatitis C and its not nice to know that you are infectious – but wouldnt it be worse if you didn’t know how to prevent it from happening to you in the first place.

    Well now you do.

Use your own snorting tube, never money, use some paper, a flyer, something that no one else has used.

a straw is more likely to cause a bleed, use a bit of paper and buy some post-it notes for use at home!

Junk mail is your best friend :surprised

    Mix cards
    Snorters
    Wraps

    Paper airplanes

All do-able with junk mail :horay:

The problem is with ‘promoting’ safer practises on ways of not spreading the Hep C virus about, is that people will start not touching ANYTHING that a carrier of Hep C (or any other virus) uses. Sometimes TOO much scaremongering can have a negative effect, especially on the +’s psyche. Common sense usually prevails on this subject, and if it hasn’t by now, then people should start opening their eyes and ears more!
Just a thought to throw in the mix.

i never really use a tube…or paper or anything for that matter. is there some sort of upside to this “using tubes or tube like objects”. i just prefer to cut out the middle man you know? ill be damned if a straw reeps my precious powders from me!

    good advice Elliot,

(same goes for sharing – spoons, pipes and other equipment )

I see what Agent Subby is saying as this happened when my sister was diagnosed,
by some people but they were just scared as they didnt know the facts (our parents )
but this happened also with my uncle when he had MRSA – so I dont think it is specific to hep.

health eductation can only be a good idea IMHO
