    Wow!

You are clearly one of the most vocal and one of the most liked people on PV (which is evident from the number of people who have replied to this post), but when your new e-friends offer some honest advice and show some genuine concern you call them all a bunch of cunts… nice manuver!

I guess you really are one of the lucky people who can take heroin without it affecting your personality or behaviour. Big-up youself!

i don’t see the big deal heroin is a load of expensive shit which i don’t want to take anymore.

just cos i called people cunts yeah i was out of order but think you can directly link that to opiate use??? yeah it’s a clever thing to post to seem like you know what was going on in my life BUT YOU DO NOT.

so please people shut the hell up trying to say the actions in this thread have anything to do with smoking a tiny little bit of heroin.
shame some people get addicted i’m certainly NOT addicted or is that addiction gonna come get me in a few months/years?

i already feel terrible right now so don’t need more cocky posts, wish someone would close this thread because i’m already trying to get away from drug abuse and posting on here doesn’t help when i got people making a joke out of me calling me a smack head from it. thanks for all the great posts guys you really lifted my spirits.

Sorry if I added to your anxiety dude.

Just noticed a change in attitude coupled with a post about the ‘good’ side of heroin use and put 2 and 2 together.

You are right, I know nothing about what is going on in your life, but one thing I do see is a whole bunch of people who care about you getting abuse for their kind words of caution. Life can be tough sometimes and when it is I know you should be greatful for the friends you have – they make the best times awesome and the worst times bearable. It is a mark of their love that even a barrage of abuse didn’t put an end to their concern for you. You are blessed.

Hope things level out for you soon.

yeah well you did. seems like you can’t have a conversation about smack without people going ‘it’s evil, you’ll get addicted’ over and over and over.

like 100% of people who try heroin get addicted, bollocks. what’s the point of even trying to discuss it with anyone.

Heroin has been around for a long time and most people who have been part of a drug-based underworld have experienced it in one form or another. They generally come in two groups: those that have been addicted to heroin and didn’t much like what it did to them and those that have friends who have been addicted to heroin and didn’t much like what it did to them. I guess this is why people go on and on about it being ‘evil’ and about how easy it is to become addicted… because this is what they have experienced.

You are right though, pure heroin doesn’t actually do you any physical harm, but it is often cut with stuff that will. As has been said already, the main harm that heroin does is the way it changes good people into not-so good people (in my experience).

I know people who have tried heroin and not become addicted, I know people who tried it for an experiment and were jacking up by the end of the week stealing from their work to pay for it and lying to their friends about it. This tells me that it is something that should be treated with a lot of respect and used cautiosly if at all.

I never tried it (although I have been offered it) because I guessed that it would probably be the sort of thing I would get into and I didn’t want to end up with a habit. If you can enjoy it and not get hooked then I applaud you. It has been said already in this thread though that people often start out saying its fine and its not addictive at all and then find themselves in a position that they didn’t want to end up in (e.g. being shagged up the arse down a dark alley to earn a fiver for a hit… yes, a fiend’s real experience; or what about another friend who decided enough was enough when he was in a car crash and when he started to come round he could feel his missus going through his pockets looking for his heroin, not checking to see if he was OK, checking to see if her next hit was OK).

You want to have a discussion about heroin? Well, that is pretty much exactly what you got. People will bring their own experiences to the table (notice how few of those experiences are along the lines of: ‘I tried it and had a great time, got into it for a while but soon got bored with the awesomeness of the feeling so I hit it on the head’). It is true that most of the people I know who got into heroin say that its The Best Hit, but I can’t think of one who is still alive who would consider doing it again… for old time’s sake.

I’ll say it again, the fact that so many people have experiences and so few of them are positive should tell you as much as you need to know. I know quite a few ex-junies, but I don’t know any who think it was one of their finer moments.

Added to this is the fact that you are clearly loved by many people on PV (despite your numerous ‘cocky posts’ and blatant insults) who don’t want to see another friend lost to a drug that probably isn’t worth the effort and you end up with a whole lot of advice telling you that heroin is evil and you will become addicted… they don’t want to see it happen again. I think you should be greatful that you didn’t get a whole load of posts telling you that it’s OK to keep doing it in small doses every now and again because you will be fine… that sort of behaviour should not be encouraged because it is a very narrow line between doing a drug and being addicted to a drug.

the thing is though i’ve heard it all a million times, i already know and i find it patronising and boring even if it is what everyone thinks is the right thing to say.

i don’t think smack is the ultimate hit at all, in fact i think it’s the most overrated drugs ever. yeah i haven’t banged it up but i know of no needle using people and do not plan to use one.

Its not patronising, its fact/experience-based concern. Its not what people THINK is the right thing to say, it IS the right thing to say.

You are not alone to think that its not the ultimate hit, I know other people who didn’t like it much too (lucky people).

FYI – none of my ex-junkie friends used needles at first, only a couple ever used them at all (and they all developed a strong enough habit to suffer serious withdrawals when they stopped) and the one person I know who is still using (now on needles) was the most anti-smack person around when all of his mates were getting into it (he never planned to get into it at all).

in fairness, it is a bit. Though clearly not intended with malice but concern.

The gear in the U.K was awfull for quite some time. Tha was the main reason I mannaged to stop using it every day. Some of my mates reckon that its got better than what it was when I gave it up, which does tempt me to get some. It could be so easy for me to score aswell, since I only have to knock on the door opposite mine in the building. The chap even offered me a boot the other day. But I turned it down. Whats the gear like where you are?

it may not be everyones ultimate hit but it would be pretty damn hard to imagine a better more euphoric drug hit when you combine it with cyclizine to potentiate the nod and make it trippier, k, diazes and booze and that was only smoking it, but you needa be careful with the k and booze, ya dont want too high a level of downers in your system

don’t really have much to compare it to.

i’ve heard it all before and people trying to link shit to me using opiates a few times? Are you joking that’s not patronising… ‘oh well you’re acting angry and different so I’M RIGHT IT’S THE SMACK’ very patronising IMO.

Awww diddums! Did the bad man say something that didn’t instantly fit in with your world view?

    Now that’s partonising IMO ;p

I don’t know what initiated the change in behaviour, but I do know that it’s rarely one thing alone that makes a difference. It’s usually a combination of several factors (opiate use may or may not be one of them).

I’ll say it one more time – no need to diss your mates for showing some concern and sharing their experiences with you (which is all I really wanted to say in the first place).
