  • I have not encountered hash as good as that since the early 1990s (what is usually sold in England since is weed/skunk that is sometimes too strong and made me excessively tired and sometimes paranoid; which is why I stopped using it).

BTW the reason why it is difficult to find NPS in Portugal unfortunately seems to be because their govt panicked as early and 2013 and already passed a law similar to the incoming UK legislation (and not dissimilar to the laws in IE and PL) – and have resisted any attempts by activists to reverse this legislation.

Google usually knows roughly which country you are in (even if you happen to know more than one language) and the results are tailored to both the demands of advertisers and the domestic government legislation.

Incidentally the EU-wide drugs monitoring agency is based in Portugal.

That said, using synthetic “cannabis” in PT when natural gear of that quality is available seems to me to be as strange as having mass produced English “lager” imported into Germany (and I wouldn’t be surprised if the feds have more worries about the refugee crisis and the ongoing war than cannabis – and in hindsight if Northern Europe and the USA hadn’t started the “capitalsts Crusades”during the 90s maybe we’d all have more of this good stuff and less terrorism / extremism and the current problems it now causes…

Now you mention it GL I’m gonna say that hash is pollen (properly callem polm, pollen from a cannabis plant would indicate it’s male and therefore fucing useless) but it is very nice hash. Always comes in rectangle bars that have actualy right angles and in bars that are actually 2×3.5 ounce bars taped together into one 7 ounce block. No 9 bars of tyhis stuff which makes it different from all other hash I ever encountered.

The image of Amsterdam as a “hedonists paradise” is increasingly a thing of the past although it does still host more electronic music events than Portugal [in spite of you having better weather and more space in your country] – but even these are being restricted more as is the “gedoogbeleid” (which doesn’t mean widespread acceptance of drug use any more than it does in PT or ES).

when decrim started in PT I remember whoever was either President or Health Minister at the time saying they did not want their country to become like NL or ES (in spite of both these nations being similar culturally and linked by centuries of European history).

The same social stigma/shame/angst about drugs exists there as in your country – recently Tryptameanie posted a link about medical cannabis in the Netherlands; which is available and good quality but many patients who would benefit from it (especially the older generations) are ashamed to use it.

This attitude (and societies wider attitude to cannabis) might well change as my parents generations (who grew up in the 1960s/70s) become older but if it does it is likely to affect Europe as a whole

I would hope that some people wise up and think “hang on; now there are tens of thousands of new folk who want to be in Europe because bad shit has happened in their countries; who need space to live in peacefully. some useful work to do; and forms of relexation that are not against their cultural beliefs but do not cause conflict with the existing European populations. And what you don’t smoke can be used for lots of useful purposes that would reduce the conflict over oil and other minerals found elsewhere in the world…

    Very well said GL.
