  • I.ve tried logging into the life forum both using my credentials from here which I then learned wouldn’t work so I tried to register but was denied cos they thought I might be spamming. I thought I knew a likely reason why this could have happened. I tried registering again with the details in the reg form changed to do away with the spammer denial but I was still denied for the same reason just now. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas what it might be?

Have you got the activation email fromm your first try?

I was never sent one. Immediately after completing the form and clicking register I get told registration is denied so I never get sent a confirmation email.

Try and look in your spam folder anyway

Try using a new email address

This only works users who were registered on partyvibe.com before the site split. If not you’ll need to create a new account. Sorry. 🙂

That was what I changed when I tried the second time. It was a normal email that I’ve had for years and I thought making that switch would fix the spammer issue cos if that was causing it, I’ve come across it quite a few times with some sites and using my real email has always worked before.
Anyway, shortly I’m going to try again but with my gmail address. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Yep, I understand totally and making a new account takes 2 minutes and is no problem at all, but twice now registering has failed with 2 different email addresses.

If you wouldn’t mind angel that would be fantastic. Thanks

I filled out the registration form exactly the same both times execpt the email address was changed. Normally when you click register when sign up somewhere, usually the next screen that loads is one saying a confirmation has been sent or similar then you’d wait for it to arrive.
That didn’t happen either time today. When the form was complated and I clicked register, instead of showing a congrats scree I mentioned above, it immediately loads a screen which says somethingn along the lines of “sorry this forum has a policy against spammers using this site” so neither time was my reg completed or an email sent to either address. I have had this issue on a few other sites I’ve signed up for using a disposable email address provided by donottrackme firefox extension. But every other time when they wouldn’t accept the email as it was assosciated with spammers or something all I ever did was retry registration using a hotmail or gmail account that I’ve had a long time and it was sorted.

Thanks very much to dr B and Angel who got this sorted for me so quickly. Really appreciated you working to get this sorted out so quick.
