Some Americans have now made a video with Takeo in Japan, where he acts as a superhero (somewhat curiously wearing similar clothing to some Lutheran priests!) and combining modern R and B ballad singing with yodelling in English with a mixed Bavarian and Japanese accent…
this might put it in context, he is famous not just for yodelling (which he has been doing since the 1980s in Bavaria) but yodelling to chickens 😁
(this might be harder to understand as its in Boarisch dialect rather than standard German, but he is singing about having to catch a chicken because it flew away and then got cooked by someone else, so he has to buy another one)
My grandfathers best friend, Norman, or nobzer to his friends, was an awesome yodeller, I remember when I was a very young child, I used to ask him to yodel and he would oblige, possibly to the annoyance of the neighbours as it was very loud lol :)…….ah memories.
