Was visiting some Danish friends the other day and we talking about drugs ..

I know a lot of them takes speed, cocaine and ecstacy, but none of them had heard about Ketamine the same way as I see it described here..

      Is Ketamine an British phenomena*?

its definitely more popular in the UK than elsewhere in Europe, although it crops up wherever British people go.

amazing stuff…very popular up here in scotland. i dunno, maybe it’s called something different in denmark? hard to imagine them never having heard of it – it’s sold under different brand names, like valium is a brand name for diazepam etc

ive got friends across europe who’ve never heard of it … lucky if anything … ‘orrid stuff …

under estimated, over taken and stupidly under classed …

nah, ketamine has the same name (sometimes without the “e” the world over)

like the UK it has recently been given a higher classification, so presumably enough Danish people are doing it too for this to happen..

It may be that like the UK it is more popular with the younger people.

As many youths never got “proper” stimulants such as good quality pills or have already burned out on them at a very young age, ketamine is sadly more popular these days.

you may have a point there -= particularly where i live, good quality pills are VERY hard to come by. i know tons of people who sell em, but only 1 guy who sells decent stuff. most of the time people are taking pills that cost 50p to a quid and needing to take 10 to get some kind of ‘buzz’.
