If the UK could decouple itself from failed US drug policy ya’ll could do a lot of good work on psychedelics and safe injection really quickly within the framework of the NHS.
Still the UK has a lot more money and population than Scotland so it’d be the best place to work on this. If only… I never get the whole attitude of letting junkies die from politicians it’s a lot of lost years and productivity compared to harm reduction.
Politicians from all sides are totally immune from shame or regret when their policies lead to deaths, whatever it is that they’ve taken money from or the ill considered law, they don’t care and don’t intend to do anything about it.
Scotland has been by far the hardest hit since the psychoactive substances act became law and it’s good to see Scottish politicians for the most part understand and try do sensible things to combat the situation.
Scotland has always had a big heroin problem but they also had a lot of people who used the legal compounds who stayed away from heroin. Now everything they used is gone and they’ve turned to the one thing that’s in plentiful supply.
