YES EXACTLY, Effect of inhaling poppers was making laughs for about 10 seconds and by the same time a very warm sensation finnishing in the brain was giving us the effect like a little push making the XTC effect going up again (smoking joint was also giving the impression the XTC effect going up again)

Methoxphenidine is the compound I’d most love, there is a replacement known as 2-OxO-PCE (methoxphenidine was 3MeO-2OxO-PCE) and is more potent but is far more self limiting. Tolerance build far quicker and your nose is way too congested after a few lines. Dosage is around 15mg for a comparable dose of 30-35mg of MXE. MXE is not just my favourite arylcyclohexylamine, it probably my favourite drug full stop. If I had to choose 5 drugs to limit myself to until my expiration they would be
1. MXE
2. ALD-52
3. DMT
4. DOC
5. Isopropylphenidate

I took 400ug of it the only time it came my way along with MDMA and it was bonkers. Shulgin mentions that dosing is equivalent to LSD because it hydrolyzes.

Preferable to LSD-25 IMO but you have to go through LSD-25 to synthesize it so it is kind of niche. It was prevalent as Orange Sunshine many years ago but most chemists are either profit motivated or think that LSD is the mechanism for changing the world through a shift in consciousness.

You’re entirely correct, Nick Sand, the brotherhood of eternal loves chicst was arrested for production of LSD but he argued it was actually ALD-52. The only known synthesis for ALD-52 was Hoffmans and indeed required LSD-25 as an intermediate but he said he had an alternative synthesis.. Don’t remember the exact cucumstances but after that defence he was allowed out and immediately fucked off to Canada where he produced LSD for another 20 years.

Only other drug I ever combined with ALD-52 (aside from large amounts of weed) was ketamine and that sent the trip sideways into an entirely cartoonish visual setting.

I felt like the visuals were more cartoonish than LSD under equivalent circumstances but the mental aspect was more stimulating than LSD.

You ever read William Pickard’s book? Insight into those kind of folks who are chemists at the top of the hierarchy.

I haven’t read his book, I didn’t even know he’d written one tbh but I’ve certainly heard of him and what he did, both chemistry-wise and academically. I’ll chack that out, thanks DB.
