i’ve been doing grounds maintainance, whcih is wicked. well laid back, but really knackering none the less. my arms are feeling buff after a fortnight of it. i was gonna find a bullshit office job, but now ive found this i needn’t bother. being outdoors is great. just not in winter. and the physical exercise is making me feel well fit.

Hi ppl gud thread ive been doing manual work 4 a wile now( landscaper) makes me feel great really having had bad stages recently in my life keeps my mind fresh an active but the winter is coming up 😥 lol.
I see alot of women doing the soft landscaping ie planting an desgining but not as many doing the hard landscaping shame really as it is a gud job:groucho:

I used to do alot of volunteer work for kent wildlife, most of their full time employee’s at the time seamed to be women.
A female freind of mine from uni got a job on a building site this summer, admitidly they gave her shoddy jobs like cleaning windows and what not, no hardcore manual labour, but then she probably isn’t built for that to be honist, but it was outside and paid well and they didn’t give her too much shit.. She said she liked it alot more than the bar work and cleaning she was doing before..

I’m technician into art exhibitions(building walls,electricity,,wood,video,anything you can imagine);a hard job,sometimes 12/24 7/7,but adrenaline-full and funny:never do twice the same thing…

I know a few girls doing the same job,and it’s harder for them,most because of sexual discrimination(picture of the nice-but-weakgirl).I love working with girls for many reasons;one is the fact they have more to prove than a guy,so they work better and with a greater conciousness;another reason is tha we guys keep our mouth clean:less hardcore sex jokes,and things like that(know what I mean,guys?).What I dislike is to let girls do “girl job”,little things where you need to be patient…

Now I’m more and more chief, I try to let the chance to more girls to make their proofs.I’m dreaming of equality,but the thing is that girls are less physically trained(’cause of education,IMO),and I can’t count on a “half srengh worker”.

So try hard girls!!!

I agree,spent many Happy sping/summers stone walling and laying hedges but come winter I wished I had a job in a nice warm office browsing PV all day:groucho:
