while this is purely anecdotal, i have done co-codemol, weed and booze all together a few times, and was fine. well, i say fine, i was fucked, but a pleasant obliterated rosy cheeked fucked. not something to do too often i feel. if i was you, id cut out the booze. saying that, i prolly wouldnt, but hey it sounds good, no?
a few years ago in our area there were several suicides where the main drugs used were a mixture of codeine and benzodiazepines (valium).
Usually the deceased was a middle aged person who had legally been prescribed these drugs to deal with back or other pains…
there are lots of different strengths of codeine-based painkillers – nowadays the NHS [1] in some areas deliberately limit what people can get in quantity to prevent both black market re-selling and/or accidental or intentional overdoses.
other regions (and other countries) have different rules, and I am amazed at what can be obtained in some parts of the world even over the counter. You definitely have to be careful with this stuff – its a fine line between being nicely relaxed and permanently obliterated…. and when this happens to a younger person by accident they are simply written off as “another damn junkie”
combining depressant drugs (particularly with alcohol) can be a bad idea (and seems like an odd way of getting “high” TBH, unless you are having difficulty sleeping or want to escape some nagging worries…)
