i planned a massive near self sufficiency growing project but only really got broad beans, runner beans, marrows and tiny carrots. I put LOADS of effort in at the begining of growing season and then got totally slack and not stayed for long enough. Gonna keep it simple from now on. Jerusalem artichoke, broad beans, spuds. eazy peezy.

I’m jealous, I had a lovely big roof garden years ago, loadsa veg, some wild flowers an tonnes of sunflowers. Was a labour of love but well worth it

work out where you would like to put your beds and definethe edges with a solid border of some kind [slightly raised or raised to disabled access heights], dig the bed and add extra soil if necessary and plant away with no need to fight the weeds which in my garden make up half the surface area between the beds…..
