  • i made this account just for the sole purpose of posting this thread.
just to clarify, im not an expert or a doctor or anything but swim is a very experienced k user and i do have a small background in natural medicine.

ive seen alot of posts on here discussing “k pains” and how to deal with it.
swim has been using k on the daily for about 2.5 years now. swim’s tolerance has gone up to where they need about 1.5 grams to get high and could do as much as 6-7 grams per night.

for those of you who have experienced k pain will know just how bad it hurts.
in swims experience there are 2 types of k pain; the initial heavy one, and the one that lasts for a few days afterward.

for the initial onset, the k pain swim has felt was severe abdominal pain, cold sweats, difficulty breathing and inabilty to move. when this happens, swim has noticed that drinking warm sugar water helps. (for some reason sugar kills k buzzes. even sucking on a lollipop or candy will help kill ur buzz if u had too much). lying in the fetal position seems to alieviate the abdominal pain a bit. being warm also help, maybe putting a hot pack on your stomach.

after heavy binges, in swims case is pretty much every day, you can get the k pains that last for a few days. these include the abdominal pain and urinary tract infections.
ive wondered why k would cause these things and after doing some research ive come to the conclusion that since ketamine is essentially HCl salt, it is very acidic. this will cause an inbalance in stomach acidity which can lead to peptic ulcers and urinary tract infections. the ulcers, or stomach pains can be helped with some over the counter anacids but these are only a temporary solution as the pain comes back within a few hours. pure aloe vera juice is helpful for ulcers and stomach acidity. to be honest, swim hasnt found anything that completely allieviates the pain, only help temporarily. andother thing that helps is doing more k, but that just makes the pain come back worse when the buzz wears off. drinking a full glass of water is another temporary solution as it dilutes the stomach acids. on the plus side drinking lots of water will help flush out some of the k lingering in your body. eating soft, easy to digest foods are helpful. avoid spicy foods, red meat, pop/soda and sugar.

ketamine also causes urinary tract infections or bladder infections. to help with these a simple thing you can do is drink plenty of water when you’re bumping (some people dont like doing because they dont want their buzz to be interrruped by trips to the bathroom). if you happen to catch one, cranberry juice helps, or cranberry extract capsules. ive noticed that taking cranberry extract capsules dont help too much and something that worked great for swim was D-mannose. D-mannose is a type of sugar extracted from either cranberry or corn, which is very useful for cleansing the urinary tract of bacteria and infections. you can find this at any health food or vitamin retailer. avoid eating sugar as this makes urinary tract infections worse.

lastly i want to talk about the addictiveness of ketamine. some say that its not physiologically addicting, which in some cases may be true, but it is definately psychologically addictive. i believe it is one of the most addictive drugs. swim has been trying to quit k for about 3 months now, and having alot of difficulty. swim had an easier time quitting coke. this is just swim though. they started bumping ketamine due to depression, and to anyone who considers taking k to help with depression, my advice is to not do it. it may help temporarily because it helps you forget, makes you feel dissociated from the world to escape your problems, or escape yourself, but it can ruin your life when abused. 2.5 years of heavy use it has brought swim nothing good. swim is taking their first year university for the third time, relationships are fucked and swim is flat broke. do not let yourself become addicted to ketamine. it is a great substance to use for fun, it is very reflective and euphoric. just dont let it become your only source of happiness.
