which do you think influences us more to become the people we are today; nature or nurture?
i always used to believe entirely on nature; i was convinced that i am the person i am due to genetic make-up and that i was meant to have the morals i have and the emotions i experience.
i’m still at a young age, but now i find that i realise more and more how easily influenced i am.
when i was a small child we used to go on regular holidays to the lake district with another family we were close friends with. a couple of summers back we went on a reunion holiday with this family and there was loads of chat about our old holidays and i found that i had no recollection of practically everything we did. this made me realise how unbelievably terrible my memory is of the early years of my life – so how am i supposed to know what i was told and taught about the ways of life at an early age?
i find it a little exhilarating to think that my experiences make me into who i am, and i like the feeling of the unknown of what is to become of who i am… but i also find it unnerving, not to feel like i have total control of who i am, and that there may be no ‘fate’ to me…
so what do you think, nature or nurture?

hahah and i love ya too tomm… and i love your drunken philosophising where the answer is always that it doesnt matter, because either 1 we all love each other… 2 because the world is beautiful… or 3 because it’s time for another rollie!
