  • Hi All,

I noticed about an hour ago I am out of my Clonazepam prescription. I have called 111 and they said only nurses can see my over the weekend and I wont be able to get a script until Monday when there are doctors as only they can prescribe Sedatives.

I am so worried, I use it to help with sleep/parasomnias, Mainly the parasomnias as they have caused me to have seizures in the past. I am also worried about the withdrawal affects, as I have been on Clonazopam for over a year now withdrawal can be fatal or extremely bad.

I really don’t know what to do, I feel so useless.

I have had a few suggestions of similar drugs which are legal “research chemicals” but I wouldn’t even know where to find them this time of night 🙁

Any advice would be much appreciated

I also take Clonazepam for the same reasons you do – Bipolar and sleep disorders. How long have you been taking it? I have been on it since probably 17 or 18 years old and I am now 24. If I go 24 hours without it, I get sick and turn into a nightmare where my personality is concerned. Luckily another family member that lives with me has it prescribed to them too so if I ever run out, this person can give me some to hold me over until I can get mine filled. It doesn’t get me high or produce any feelings of euphoria, I literally only take it to keep from having withdrawals. I can tell you though, the withdrawals are worse than any other thing on the planet. Upset stomach, headache, feeling achy, runny nose, inability to enjoy food or even eat any…the list continues.

I hate to spoil that for you but it is the God’s honest truth about benzos. Even one of the people from Aerosmith went to treatment for benzo addiction and said it was worse than getting off of heroin. I think it’s because they can’t really prescribe you anything (with heroin, you can have methadone) to keep you from feeling terrible. I’m seriously not trying to be rude or give you any tough love – this is the truth. I’ve been through it myself and still can’t stop taking it even if I don’t get high from it. I tried to get off of it once, and that was all it took to make me say “forget this shit!”. My Bipolar got worse, I became depressed, I slept almost all day and thought about hurting myself. I would definitely consider going to the pharmacy this weekend if they are open and ask them about alternative methods to deal with this until you can get a new prescription. If you can’t get to a pharmacy, I have to recommend the hospital. They are always open and at least have some advice as far as something to help you through this. Don’t take anything “research chemical”-wise either. That will only make you feel worse. If you want, you can PM me and we can chit chat about this. Good luck. =)

Your best bet is an RC benzo and for clonazepam your best options are clonazolam or flubromazolam. Both available in 0.25 and 0.5mg pellets and sometimes 1ng.

The OP is in the United Kingdom; (he mentioned 111 which is a special number to call health service on call staff). The service unfortunately varies between regions; in the East there are doctors who can prescribe these at weekends; especially for seniors in residential homes. I know this as I work as a IT manager for 3 such places and have intercept authority over the telephone and communications systems.

These do work but not sure if most vendors sell them at weekends either (maybe in the North but what I’ve mostly seen are branded blends of stims and cannibanoids). Beware that the second is easily confused with another similar spelt benzo analogue with slow onset and way too strong half-life if you want to do anything functional the next day.

On Monday the OP should hand him/herself in to the GP as soon as they can. If they are below age 80 and legally prescribed this stuff it is for a valid reason and there is genuinely something wrong with them.

Ah, sorry, didn’t have time to read the OP properly. RC benzos probably don’t exist in any headshops and getting an RC benzo with enough of the same properties at the same level with similar half-life to what’s wanted will be difficult at best.
