Welcome 🙂 – what part of the world/what region are you in? The type of events you can get to nowadays varies wildly even within single countries.
As for “learning how to rave” EDM events aren’t really that much different from any other music event, other than they go on for way longer, the music and visual effects have a lot of effort put into them so folk might thus be encouraged to take substances that help them stay awake and enhance their feelings rather than alcohol that usually makes people eventually want to sleep.
So the only thing really to “learn” is if you and your friends choose to take these substances (you do not have to) how to avoid them causing harm to yourself or others.
