To sell medical gases BOC need a license from the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency). They can lose this (and thus a considerable chunk of their market share, plus brand damage) if they are found to be selling to unlicensed places and caught by law enforcement and/or exposed in the media -and there is probably some records they must keep of who they are selling to….

At strawberry fair this year they were blaintenly selling it from a stall with a ‘legal highs’ banner.

However at creamfields last month (dont ask why I was there-it wasn;t through choice-(prodidgy were ace tho!) ) A similar stall with a similar banner wern’t selling them. I asked them and they said they wern’t allowed to sell them at events anymore!!!!

I expect the MHRA have been busy here as well.

The Govt are still encouraging healthcare workers to look at demand reduction (the “politically correct” term for prohibition) as well as harm reduction so anything particularly blatant (such as selling N20 openly at legal party venues) is now being clamped down on.

bear in mind closing down a stall can be a “plus point” someone in authority can put on their performance appraisal when it comes round to that time of year as that is “demand reduction”.
