TBH the problem is the strength of the drug – according to the Pikhal review it can be quite enjoyable in very small quantities but they are extremely small quantities :scared:
It is not suitable for sorting the doses out in dark places when the user is already in some way inebriated – this way lies danger. :hopeless:
I hope these guys make a full recovery and live life to the full again :weee:
   I dont understand the tendency to treat the drugs like cheap low alcohol lager – more is definetely not better in either case – both are supposed to enhance your enjoyment of an event not make you so past your best you cant remember it properly :you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy
Its not macho or hard to end up sitting in a corner, passed out or freaking out because you have overdone it with some chemical [alcohol or otherwise].
Usually this is a downer both for you and your friends who have to look after you [TBH if the people you are with dont check on you in this condition I would question if they are really your friends:hopeless:]
Rant over :flowers:
sorry to hear that ..what had he had .?…nothing worse than seeing that out at a party..nasty
Its really shit what happened to these people but we all need to take responsibilty for our own actions.
I would never get anything off someone I dont know at a party-far too dodgy!! You never know what your getting.
Although i’m sure whoever sold it didn’t intend to mess these people up-like you said its just very hard to administer the right quantities when its dark and your spangled!!
I hear they’re all stable now-lets hope they make a full recovery.
Was good to see everyone trying their best to help and having quick actions by calling the ambulance-this time it was obviously necessary.
If nothing else at least its made us all think a little more about things.:hopeless:
apparently this stuff can take upto 3hrs to kick in. could of been a case of ‘hmm not doing anything , flick another one back’
not good publicity tho and thoughts go out to those involved
3 hours! bloody hell. i knoe people who have taken to many pills because they havent kicked in after 40 mins an hour. but three hours you really do have to be careful. To easy to do more and more and then finally BANG!!!!!!

TBH this sort of relatively untested research chemical should never be sold at a party to first-time users, and we do not even know if its was pure DOI or a combination of DOI and various other 2-C* derivatives.
From personal experience I think that current available info underestimates the stimulant effect of these drugs on the body; particularly in combination with other amfetamine-type stimulants.
If people want to experiment with these things they should initially do so with a smaller, trusted group of friends in an environment where they have a calm place to get to in case of problems (i.e not a dark warehouse with banding music and 1000 other people gawping at them freaking out and often taking the piss or getting in the way)
although there’s still a risk with pills and speed they have been around for ages and most risks/danger signs are well known. BTW its a common misconception that research chems are legal in Britain.
They are not – and if they have any sort of afmetamine group in their chemical formular they are at least class B and in many cases class A. Most of the common ones were made Class A in 2002, along with a change to the law which makes newly discovered drugs based on an existing illegal drug automatically illegal.
Anyway a cop finding unidentifiable powders almost always treats them as class A (and arrests on suspicion) until proven otherwise.

well said… you should never hesitate to call the ambulance service in these situations, although it may well (and increasingly often does) result in an illegal event being closed down.
No party or rig is worth someones life though, but if we want unlicensed raves to keep happening we have to look after ourselves better.
it was horrible to watch .. i hope these ppl make full recoverys!!
my friend and his g/f took it but they are very drugs aware and only took the smallest amount, thank good they r ok.
i was also offered the drug but said no. i hope everyone will be extra carefull from now on.
Dark side, people at the party must ave been shittin it seein that. This is gonna make old bill start shuttin down partys more often now they know people are at more of a serious risk
thats what they might say to the Press but the sad truth is its more because the emergency ambulances that are called haven’t been paid for.
Loads of people get done over or ill because of alcohol abuse or incidents in legal clubs but the cost of ambulances is supposedly recovered through taxes
All the legal raves like Tidy or HTID have a similar amount of casualties but they are taken to emergency department by private paramedics which you pay for as part of the ticket price.
The authorities grudingly accept that at least the cost of Ambulance transport has been paid for by the event promoters (the Home Office which has authoritiy over legal raves doesn’t actually care whether people live or die, just how much it all costs!)
with illegal raves they can’t recover the costs, so the authorities the view that one way of avoiding these costs is stopping events happening in the first place, and increasing enforcement against crews to try and put them off hosting these events.
So every incident like this, apart from the toll it takes on those involved and their friends, does do a litle more damage to the unlicensed rave scene.

Anyone actually know what this looks like, is it in pill form just like ectasy….or does it come in capsules? Just curious to ensure that I steer well clear…..was at this event, didn’t know what was going on at the time………saw it on the local news the next day. I find it hard to believe somebody would want to give/sell this stuff to their friends in the first place when they know relativeley little about the side effects. I just hope that a big lesson has been learnt by all involved & nothing like this happens again.
My heart goes out to the people & their families, hope they all make a full recovery…x
apparently it was in pill form
there are four casualties now
two presented to Milton Keynes General Hospital having felt unwell (perhaps after the Banbury rave?)
(1 x intensive care, the one on general ward in stable condition)
two further people were taken by Ambulance to Lister hospital in Stevenage (1 also in intensive care, the second is recovering but being quizzed by detectives)

A friend and I tried some of the common research chemicals about 4 or 5 years ago. We experimented with 2ci mainly then onto 2cb and the rest.
We would buy a gram of the stuff which was 99.99% pure (as they guaranteed this quality). We guessed at how much we would take by (would you believe it) spreading out thinly over a grid of squares and then seperated these squares and then put these doseages into gel caps.
Albeit this is a very crude way of doing this. We could only guess that the amount of 2c (x) taken was in the range of 25 – 30mg per trip (PiKHAL aparently says that this is quite a nice trip and not too intense).
I cant even comprehend that the tinyest amount of this drug doing so much damage.
I can only assume that the drug was sold as Exstacy but obviously had this research chemical in tow …

would have thought they would have sent them to JR.
I get the impression from the articles they were taken ill between the two raves and then dropped off at the nearest Emergency Department rather than picked up by South Central Ambulance (or the papers would have mentioned this as well)
