    Both have built in amps,

more info here Wharfdale Diamond 9.1 Stereo Speakers Reviews | Stereo Speakers | Review Centre 🙂

When I read about the specs it sezs nothing about built in amp, that means it is not active speakers so you need an amp for them….

according to the review its quite good HIFI speakers and will do well for a home studio etc, but its not a pro set monitors…

AFAIK they are not active speakers.

Nah there definitely have built in amps 100% sure. will try and dig out some info later 😉

No not you, Tek. They look like passive speakers on every place I’ve looked aswell.

    Anyway, they are good speakers…

yeah it’s still a bargain, just not something I need.

those are good speakers, though I think when I first heard a pair they were series 6 or 7 :laugh_at: they were regularly used for “bedroom mixing” through the 80s to the 2000s before small pro audio monitors became affordable.

I too have not heard of an active set of Wharfedale Diamonds either….
