All-night ravers partying in a field prompted complaints from people in a village near Norwich at the weekend.
Villagers at Rackheath complained to police about noise and disruption caused by the illegal rave at a landfill site on Salhouse Road from Saturday evening.
One householder, who asked not to be named, said the “dull bass thud” from music could be heard until 11am yesterday. Youngsters attending the party were stopping cars to give details of where it was being staged, including vehicles driven by people from the village who were trying to drive to or from their homes.
A police spokesman confirmed they had received a number of calls about the event, which petered out late yesterday morning.
Details were also passed to Broadland District Council’s environmental health department.
