I am reluctantly having to sell my beloved camper as the old girl wants her garden back and I just can’t afford to get him back on the road to fight another day, I will be as honest as I can about the bad bits (i’m not much of a mechanic!) specifics as follows:
Renault Trafic Hi-Top LWB Motor Caravan T1100D
2.068 diesel engine
First registered in 1989 (G reg)
Swivel drivers and passenger seats
Oven, hob, grill, sink and fridge
Eelectric hook up and zig unit (for switching between battery and electric)
Loads of storage space
Seats make up a comfy double bed
The bad bits 😥 :-
It has been standing since Aug last year (broke down on way to Beautiful Days!) so I would imagine that the breaks etc would have siezed by now.
The clutch went (hence why we broke down) and I have a brand new hydraulic clutch for it (cost £122) that will go with the van along with a new battery and wing mirrors.
I think it may need lots of welding for it to get through an MOT
I have been turning him over regularly so it starts on the button, also forgot to mention I had a £350 BOSAL exhaust fitted the week before the van broke down last year
I am absolutley gutted that I have to sell the van, it is lovely inside and i’ll be really sad to see him go but I just haven’t got the time or the spare ££ to get him going again and i’d rather someone else have happy times in him rather than let it rot in my mams garden.
There’s no MOT or tax (SORN) so drive away at your own risk or get it towed would prob be best. Please PM me if you want to see pics or arrange to come down and have a look, I am in Wales but right on the M4 between Swansea and Cardiff so easy to get to.
So, if you’ve got to this bit and haven’t been put off by the bits that are wrong please get in touch, i am looking for about £450 for the van. V5 prestent, HPI check, MOT’s form previous years and all the bumf on the fridge etc.
