anyone go?
what did you think?
We had a nice time, I didnt realise how big it was as havent been before, but luckily still managed to meet up with our friends so ended up about 10 of us – drinking and dancing in the sunshine,
music was good but sound quality went sketchy a few times on the main stage, DJ stage had some pretty wicked tunes coming out too whilst we were there
but a HUGE police presence,
police on foot, with gun’s, with sniffer dogs, on horse etc etc –
we were guessing it was there to show a presence due to all the publicity of the recent stabbings – but we may be wrong?? we didnt see any trouble whilst we were there
I went. But had a bottle of Brandy so don’t remember much. Police presence wasn’t as bad as say, Notting Hill carnival.
Surprisingly easy to walk in as well.
Bloody good fun though……..
Dub pistols & Terry Hall made the trip well worthwhile & some good stuff @ the African Stage.
Never like to knock a freebie but do wish they would lose the burger stalls & the unfortunate fog of smoking meat that entails!!
