I’ve only taken two hits of Salvia in my life, both occasions 20x. Both trips were through a bong using a turbo-lighter as Salvia to be effective needs to be heated to a higher temperature than Marijuana. First trip was strange, came on after about 10 seconds, first thing I noticed was the world around me appeared to have gone ‘flat’, hard to describe. Felt some vibrations, those were nice. Felt a really strong feeling of intimacy between myself and the light-switch on a friends wall, strange as it sounds, for the 5 minutes I was tripping I felt as if I was in love with the switch.
Second trip was much stranger, was lying on a friends bed and took the hit whilst watching Japanese wrestling. It was as the fighters were being introduced into the ring and there were 4 or 5 Japanese women introducing them. They were using microphones for the announcement and I couldn’t stop shouting ‘Put your microphone down, love.’ As the camera shot between the women I became more and more agitated that they were still using the microphones ‘Put your fucking microphone down, love!’ I remember screaming at them. Eventually they finished and I sarcastically applauded that they’d put their microphones down after some time. Of course the crowd on the television were also applauding because the fighters were at this point walking to the ring, but I felt I’d started the round of applause and couldn’t stop laughing. At the beginning of this trip I also physically couldn’t close my mouth. Towards the end of the trip I said to my friend ‘Luke, her microphone’s turned into a fucking bus, mate.’ And curled up into a ball and went into what I would call a short sleep.
Both trips were pleasant and I’d definitely try Salvia again. As previously stated it’s entirely different from Cannabis which isn’t psychotic (for me anyway) at all. Both enjoyable drugs, hope this went a way to answering your question.
