there was a short server outage today around 19:27 (UK time), thankfully we’re back now..

not sure whether Dr Bunsen rebooted it after he got my text or whether there is some clever “auto-restart” software on the server anyway…

    any ideas what caused it?

I was here throughout but I don’t know what happened yet. So far it looks as if the box was rebooted but it seems unlikely our ISP did it even if they’re installing reboot switches at the moment. Another consideration might be that I’ve just set up a new audio streaming client to level-1 which might have had a problem and panic’d but it’s unlikely. Anyway I’ll keep looking into it and 247 days without a reboot ain’t bad…

Hmmm, it certainly looks as if it was rebooted…

thats a good bit of software, where can you get it from?

    Greetings,

We have just completed installing a reboot card in your server to allow us to remotely reboot your server. This will greatly reduce the downtime you experience while needing a reboot. I have verified that your server is back online and responding.
