  • when i think back all i can say is how stupid me and some friends were … we used to ride really nice dirt bmx, gorgeous doubles, burns and what have you yet with no protection except shin and knee guards … and that was only because when landing the (anyone who rides will no) the pedals with ting metal studs for grip would rip into your shins … now i look back with some of the crashes i had i was very lucky …

You should definatly invest in a bike helmet, and you coastie. It’s way better to be safe than sorry!

i crashed a 125 mo-ped with out a helmet and split my chin open years ago .. not nice ..i was lucky tho… helmet is the only way forward … tbh

buy a mud guard as well or u look like uve pooed ya self :crazy_diz

I ride a motorbike and have always bought full face helmets…

When first shopping for a lid I was looking at the new open face style as some of them look cool, and full face seemed a bit overkill for buzzing round london on the scooter.

The guy in the shop pulled out from under the counter a full face helmet that he was wearing when he fell off a couple of weeks before and the chin part was completley smashed.. He explained that had he been wearing an open face lid he would be missing his lower jaw!!!

Also with an open face lid you have a plastic visor which if you hit the road face first would implode resulting in shards of plastic entering your eyes at high velocity.

    Full face me thinks!!
