Ed Sheeran is based in Suffolk and is classed as a local hero here – they have even put up a fibreglass pig statue in his honour by the University :laugh_at: it is very likely the various murders in the Ipswich area 10 years ago and subsequent blaze of publicity shone on the drugs culture in Suffolk would have inspired him to sing about drugs and addiction…

a mixture of both; there were 5 sex workers killed in late 2006 but the killer was caught, and gangs from London shot this young lad at a nightclub in town cops couldn’t find the gang members and this club is now closed down).

This is why when there is the slightest worry about any sort of crime the whole town is now filled up with extra patrols (it is to be fair safer to live in than London or even richer areas of SE England) but it is now really hard to get “party/rave” drugs here (then again there isn’t any venue where you can party/rave any more)

i don’t know where is that town, but i do hope u don’t live there.
just the town name make me think to a city surrounded of little village and hills a bit like agatha christies book called in french “Le chien des Baskervilles” or maybe it is a sherlock homes story, but that city name sounds like a city always cloudy and streets filled of fogs….scarry & fritghtening

I do live there and that is a fairly good description of what it is like :laugh_at:

To be fair the weather is sometimes better but it is only 20km away from the North Sea coast; you will always get some fog and clouds (its not always bad as of the weather is too harsh to go outisde I can often listen to the FM radio in French, Dutch or German as the thick cloud can reflect the radio signals 500km or more into England)
