right i have just inherited a cd playerfor car,(did have cassette) and ive got two 150W satallite speakers in the back they are like round oblong ones that just screw on to parcel shelf, obviously when im listening to my ragga/reggae they buzz/pop/chafe/and vibrate, so im gonna install a subwoofer in ma boot to rinse the bass nicely, i only wanna spend 20-30 so nothing special just something to take off that vibrating sound, and where do you plug them in on the back of the sterio in the front of the car
cheers
you need to get an amp as well as a sub, then a set of RCA’s (the cables with one red and one white connection) from your head unit to the amp, and a live from the battery with a fuse. and your head unit might have a remote wire to turn the amp on and off with the ignition. make sure you don’t run the rca cable right next to the power cable or it will interfere.
what if u dont have an amp, and just run it to it live
your gonna need an amp, if you run it off the speaker terminals you’ll be sending all the treble and mid through it and it’ll sound pants. you might be best off with an active sub i.e one with an amp in the sub box ready wired up.
something like this should do ya.
cheers man, might have to put in a bid for that, maybe offer thirty quid or something,
cheers
