I have the original one, i had it imported well before it came out in the UK. Was good for a bit well i played it for a couple of months, then it has spent most of its life in a draw.

The new ones will have a new firmware that will probably not be hacked for a long time yet, with a hacked firmware you can install emulator to allow you to play stuff like Snes, MegaDrive etc games on it. Also other “homebrew” software that allows you to do stuff Sony didn’t want you to.

I personally think it was a waste of my money, i thought of selling it but i wont get that much so i thought i might aswell keep it as one day Sony might actually release something for it worth having.

If you want something to play games on get a Wii!!!!! Bought mine (got it well cheap) and I love it! raaa

    Or buy a Hydrofoam! 😉

music is a very good option, will have some money left so i can get the cd’s i want 😀

still fancy a psp lol.. hmm, i doubt ill ever make up my mind

I love mine. Games are only £15 and I spend 2 hours a day on buses. Currently playin gta non stop.

If you travel alot then get one as they do keep you occupied. PSP’s do keep you entertained but when i got one the novelty wears off quite quickly!
My brotherrs got a DS and i think their more fun!

i owned a ds for two weeks …

It requires very careful game selection as 75% of them are beyond gash. The rest of them are amazing.

Thats why I like my psp, its just a ps2 for on the move.

save up and get an xbox 360 or a wii, if u wanna have portability, go for the old gameboys or the new DS they are the best, for christmas im getting a little HD tv for ma room, so i can rinse the 360 how it should be rinsed

dont buy a PSP they arent gonna get anymore big than they are now, and the DS are far far beating them, also better games will come out for the DS but prob not the PSP

    sorry PSP owners

Same goes for PS3 and 360 in comparison to the Wii. Games take a long time to be developed and it is unlikely that they will just can all the new psp games due to the competition with the DS. Sony have spent far too much designing the thing to let it fail and even if they just port over all the PS2 titles then its worth the £80 I paid for mine.

So far every DS game I’ve played has been really boring after about twenty minutes although I know there are good games out there I couldn’t be arsed sifting through the crap to find the right games for me. I enjoyed the Wii before my flatmates was stolen but could only play it for a a couple of hours at a time and would rarely find myself up all night playing on it. Same idea with the DS IMO. I wanted something to keep me occupied for several hours at a time as I frequently travel long distances from Edinburgh to London and I can garuntee if I had a DS it would be smashed into pieces by the time we hit the border.

    thanks for the replies..

spent all my birthday money and got a wicked skateboard.. 😀
