  • This morning on my way into work i realised that we have been having some lovely weather,

Its that warm i have been riding my motorbike with a sunglasses and an open faced helmet (which i have to say is such an amazing feeling) , sitting outside in the beer garden, taking walks early in the morning. Oh and not to forget stomping to tunes in the sun.

i love this time of year and i am hoping for many more months of this weather!

Roll on summer of 2007! raaa

I’m so glad I got out of Londonistan/SE England and moved to the East, there are places here where you can properly enjoy the spring/summer…. even the cycle ride to work is enjoyable

I used to get stung loads! but now i am lucky, last summer when i was a chef i collected a load and managed to get them on the end of some cotton…

You do get some funny looks for taking a wasp for a walk on a lead 😉

on the end of some cotton? eh?

I need to get some wasp repellent or something.. got stung three times at the same festi and got some vinegar from a food van to neutralize the sting, it works well but then I stank of vinegar all day. Not good

i was just watering my vegetables in the old greenhouse when a wasp did that exact same thing, in one hand i had my bowl of cheerios, the other my watering can so that leaves no hands to bat off the offending wasp …

        i ran inside …

running away, preferably indoors is always a good plan… Even batting with a hand is dangerous…..

sometimes they hide and make you think they’ve gone, then come at you when least expected.

Yeah takes a bit of effort as you dont want to be stung, but if you can catch a wasp you can tie a bit of cotton around their thorax and the you have control of the little bastards (was something me grandad showed me when i was a kid)
