  • this site is already blocked with certain prepaid mobile SIM cards that are bulk produced in Germany and widely available free in EU nations (including the UK), unless the user supplies a code for valid age ID (the mobile provider is convienently also approved by the Home Office for processing this data)

incidentally a lot of EU nations do have various levels of online filtering/age control same as with traditional media such as radio or TV but its done via the Communications Ministry and there is full and transparent explanation on what is and isn’t permitted.

Unfortunately the practice of giving charity groups dominated by Middle Englanders, and private donors enforcement powers that should remain within the public sector is not without legal precedent in the UK.

The RSPCA is a charity but is allowed to use the encrypted Airwave radio network at the same security level as the Councils, Police and military as well as carry out forced entry to premises with uniformed staff, covert investigations and all sorts else. Its intentions are by and large good but they have been found to have even worse “diversity issues” than the Police and have done stuff like take perfectly healthy dogs off homeless people and travellers on the grounds that they are “under fed” when the dogs are of breed that naturally look thin no matter how much they are fed. Their dependence on private donations also caused issues when hunting with dogs was banned in the UK as lots of rural types withdrew their support.

In the Netherlands and Germany there are loads of animal protection charities and sanctuaries, and if they see something bad they report it (the goose paradise folk are part of this network) but investigation and enforcement of welfare laws is (more correctly) only permitted to those working directly for the Councils and Police (there is a council animal protection unit in every region and specialist Police units as well).
