Firefighters had some unusual visitors at the fire station this afternoon, half a dozen ducklings arrived at the back door.
The tiny ducklings were spotted by Leading Firefighter Carl Smith, “The ducklings turned up at around 3pm this afternoon and where huddled together right by the bay doors where the fire appliances are kept. Their mother was nowhere to be seen so we kept the ducklings safe and called the RSPCA to collect them, they have now been taken to a wildlife hospital.”
