Fair play to the Fire Brigade for getting her out…

A TEENAGER who was rescued this afternoon after becoming trapped in a pub’s recycling skip vanished before firefighters could find out why she was in there.

The girl, who officers estimated was about 14 years old, appeared to have climbed into the bin behind the Blue Lion, in Great Baddow, and then got stuck by its heavily-sprung lid while trying to clamber out.

Sub-officer Tony Creak, from Baddow Fire Station, said: “The girl seems to have climbed into the bin herself because her coat and bag were in the bottom of the bin with her, along with a lot of rubbish.

I think any senior officer in blue light services gets special training in “stating the fucking obvious to the media”

I remember on Crimewatch once this bouncer had been slotted (entire chamber of a revolver, 6 rounds at point blank range) a DCI was on telly and said

“we believe the offender knows how to use a firearm, and shouldn’t be approached”.

why did she take her handbag though? if she wanted to go through the bin for whatever reason, surely would have been better to give the bag to her mate? is this an Essex thing? :laugh_at:

my boyfriend is from essex and he has never gotten into a bin, especially not with his handbag, as far as i know.
