  • A double shame, the organisers basically had to sheepishly ask the cops to assist with first aid/getting the ambo to the casualty (currently in intensive care but hopefully on the way to recovery). And of course they had their rig seized and the party closed early (everyone left apart from the casualty’s close friends whom I expect the feds permitted to remain, they are not quite as heartless as made out to be) Whats worse is that a 26 year old woman is not exactly a little girl or novice user (its comparatively rare to find a female raver in their late 20s in our region) and normally folk who have survived that long are better at regulating themselves.

A 26-year-old woman is in intensive care after collapsing at an unlicensed music event held overnight near Thetford.

The woman, who was airlifted to hospital, is believed to have taken numerous different drugs at the site off Wrentham Road in Croxton.
Officers received reports of loud music being played at the remote location at around midnight on Saturday and had been acting with the attendees to close it down as soon as possible.

During this, they were called to the woman who had collapsed and was fitting.

First aid was given and other people at the event chose to leave, with the exception of her close friends.

that’s sad news. was meant to be at this party but couldn’t get there in the end. I hope she makes a recovery

thankfully fatal OD’s are very rare from party drugs. In all other cases where this has happened Anglia one and the rest of the NHS staff have pull out all the stops to bring the patient to a full recovery (provided they aren’t too far gone) and do not judge them for their lifestyle choices.

Admission to the ICU and life signs monitoring as scarey as it all seems is be a routine measure whether it happened in Thetford Forest or the middle of the street in Bury – the paramedics do not immediately know what she has taken or whether she might have suffered any further trauma injuries from a fall. all these must be checked out for.

I would very strongly suggest anyone who attended this event considers making a donation to the Air Ambulance (this isn’t directly part of the NHS but is run as a charity).

Those air ambulance guys are amazing. I have a huge amount of respect for them. My school do a huge fund raiser every 6 months for them

Can confirm the woman is now fine and making a recovery 🙂 just saw a post from the rig

a relative of mine worked in ED before he went to end of life care nursing and to be fair the whole NHS do a lot to keep people safe even when they have overdone things.

He did a music course before he transferred to healthcare and found it more amusing than annoying when he’d do a weekend shift and end up with his own classmates brought in to be patched up as they’d stacked it on K or were on the trolley from blatantly overdoing it, and they were very sheepish to see him there…)

    wonder what she was on
