Not at all man, looking back at it now I can see my earlier post could come across as maybe a little harsh (and apologies if it did), think I was just surprised by your statement that Storm started the MCing craze in the hardcore scene (if anything he nearly killed it, lol). But if you like the vocal scratching style, check out MC Scratchmaster Tekno as I suggested – his litlle ‘E come alive, E come alive’ chant rocks man, especially when you’re off yer face!

Here’s a little snippet of him and DJ Ratty from back in the day, check it out, it pisses all over Storm man:

    More from core…

Core has taken the decision to remove the link you clicked from public view.**After careful consideration of the facts in this story and the Social Media witch-hunt that has quite obviously taken place (please read our other article*HERE), we’ve decided it only appropriate to remove the story we originally posted.

Our original post was made the day after the Social Media comments blew up. We simply re-posted statements that were already rife on the internet and we most certainly did not and will not ever pass judgement with respect to any allegations that were made. We posted links to the ‘Unfounded’ allegations as soon as they were made public to try to be as balanced as we could possibly be.**Ultimately we were trying to draw the attention of our readers to potential ramifications of making allegations or passing judgement against a person when allegations are made against them.

We recognise we may have disappointed and upset some readers by doing this. We’ve taken that on board. Your voice has been heard.

Yeah man, that is hardcore MCing that I like. Thing is with storm, wizkid and alll the other nu skool mc’s is that they never shut the fuck up. Once I even went upstairs at slammin vinyl to the techno room where you would only get MC ribbz and maybe another quiet MC and MC wizkid was up there doing his be-bida bo bida bay-bida boo crap. They also have like like rehersed raps/lyrics that they say about 20 times a night. Everyone knows the words so they end up singing along with them. It’s like seeing a boy band sometimes.

Here’s some footage of the sy/storm combo, I mean I don’t dislike nu harddcore, in fact at one point I loved the stuff. I just find allot of it sounds to light for me, you all know I like dark synths, acid sounds and kicking bass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4rz9cIxL4Y

Seriously though if any of them want mainstream media success folk must behave by the same rules that others abide by. Perhaps MC Storm is now hoping for a career acting like a clown on CBeebies, which is probably all that he could be taken seriously for in the mainstream hence wanting to clean up his image?

I think Core’s decision to censor the bad news is a shame and misguided, especially as all the social network posts are AFAIK still there or reported elsewhere, they unearthed other issues with the dance music scene that TBH are always known by those with real authority and power and are why events don’t get licensed in certain areas..

Also by leaving the young womans’s mail to them it now fact looks worse as if there is something to hide – leaving the discussion as it was with full disclosure of the offence that SY admitted to would in fact show it to be a fairly minor one, and that the offender has shown remorse! But they are a commercial organisation fully dependent on advertising revenue from the dance music scene rather than an independent forum and as such will need to protect their revenue streams. I now wonder if a major advertiser/funder threatened to pull the funding?

Yep, know what you mean bud, always preferred MC’s who freestyled at raves (my favourite was always the original detonator Robbie Dee), didn’t like it when it suddenly became a case of every MC having lyrics that the crowd knew off by heart, that just became a bit lame man.

Reckon you’ve probably hit the nail on the head there mate.

TBH I can’t see him having the gravitas to present Newsbeat or even Newsround but Storm does have a proven track record in dressing up daft and jumping around whilst making a racket in front of a bunch of kiddies and new young parents. So he could well be perfect for some of the shows on CBeebies.

I still think he’d lose a MC battle to Rastamouse and the Easy Crew :laugh_at:

    LOL

I remember once at the sanctuary milton keynes MC storm was outside the fast track (hardcore) arena talking to revelers and signing autographs/tapepacks etc and my friend who was always well wasted got in amongst the crowd to speak to him. When he finally got to speak with him he said “You know you look like a cat” Storm basically ignored him and carried on absorbing the worship of the crowed, but you could tell that joe had damaged his ego slightly. Otherwise he would have at least laughed at how incredibly wasted joe was, or at least laughed or something. I don’t even know why he said that to him. Crazy times.

I was shocked by this, I tell you. Shocked.

Somebody accused of an interest in child molestation who ISN’T a senior member of the Conservative Party…

Ha ha, he does look like a cat actually. Reckon we should send GL up there to meow at MC Whiskas (as he shall now be known)!

    I don’t trust moon men

For those of you who are not aware, what i am about to type may shock you… EVERY image ever pixelated on your screen is saved on a database in your hard drive. If you’ve ever accessed the “dark web” it’s almost guaranteed you have child pornography on your computer. Just download a “deleted image recovery” program (i have a few) and be wowed. Even as a programmer this has always been a mystery to me,but in the wrong hands, could persecute and ruin your life. My theory is that foreign pornographers intentionally do this for promotion, because the pictures i’ve recovered from my hard-drive have always been watermarked, usually in russian. Not to mention a large majority of the pictures on my “deleted folder” i have NEVER seen in my life!?!
