it now takes less than a month to get the ACMD to rubber-stamp new legislation!
The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Amendment No. 2) Order 2010 No. 1833
UK Border Agency (as well as or in place or HMRC) also now have the authority to seize and destroy RC shipments as soon as they have been classified..
Good.

there may not be ample justification based on health effects on the legislation concerning other drugs… but i think this is.. justified. nasty
Oh Well maybe thats a good thing and cocaine will now improve and not be bashed with all these RCs….

Nah this was being studied alongside other pyvalerones before the cathinone ban.
I think they just want to make it seem like they can ban anything instantly but after the backlash from the drone ban I think they will be a bit more careful in the future.
it still took barely a month with mephedrone, and the only backlash I am seeing from the drone ban (other than from owners of headshops, online sellers and a few liberal scientists and journos) are people complaining it wasn’t banned quickly enough…
whilst the new government is budgeting for a year for the “class D” law, I think the cops and other authorities have realised that they can still disrupt the sellers anyway under existing legislation (health and safety/trading standards) and even common law arguments they are protecting people from harm.
HMRC were seizing mephedrone without warning or compensation long before it was banned. When the importers rang to complain they were simply ignored.
Contrary to popular misconception it is not that easy for public sector workers to ignore customer complaints (as they can always be escalated, and all communications made to government offices are logged) unless their entire chain of management is standing behind them.
I’ve noticed some very good, reliable “drugs by post” companies shut up shop recently or have serious supply chain problems. these are places with good reps, not sketchy kids what took too much of their own merchandise..
