  • was discussing this on another forum. these days there is a risk of censorship / interception of net traffic, plus slow connections, so I worked out you could attach one of them USB memory tags to a pets collar, and send the animal on a mission to deliver the data to your friends house – a bit like a high tech “Lassie”…

    anyway these were my thoughts..

“the encryption protocol would be stored on the tag, its the data transfer speed that is dependent on the dog – a lurcher or whippet type breed should deliver the data faster than if someone borrowed their aunts elderly Golden Retriever.

You could even use cats but unless they were prepared to wear collars (many cats know how to deliberately snag the collar and get rid of it because of the safety elastic) and suitably rewarded with food at each end it would increase jitter and packet loss..”

    ROFL …

i play this game called neocron .it’s an mmo … and it’s buged to fookery .. so it crashes all the time and the server loses packets so items you should have temporaraly go missing ect. .. we all joke about how the server is run by a hamster on a weel and every so once in a while it gets tired and goes to sleep or stopes for food …. and when the server goes down for a long time .. they have to replace him .. 😥 poor hammy the nc hamster :laugh_at:

Hmm could work, of course rover couple be intercepted on route with a half pound of steak or even a cheese burger:)

Back in the day, there was a paper release about using Avian Carriers(pigeons) for IP traffic.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_over_Avian_Carriers

Now thinking about where we are with traffic today, you could stap a 1-4-8-16GIG flash drive to the pigeons leg and off she fliys back to your mates house.

of course then you have to keep pooping over your mates with a boot full of your pigeons cos they only ever fly home;)

well yankee doodle pigeon never got caught by vulture squadron, so this may be a viable solution :laugh_at:

LMAO yeah Dastardly and Muttley should have stayed in the wacky races rather then trying to catch the pigeon.

But saying that they would have more chance of chasing the dragon then catching that pigeon!
