  • i was done for no insurance or tax earlier this year and got a nice 6 points, just got a new car as per this thread http://www.partyvibe.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=28133

so i know i’m gonna get done again, i’m not to sure what i’m going to get, can anyone help?

Y dont you leave it a bit straighten everything out, then do it properly so you cant get done for anything?
    Seems the most obvious solution!

i do believe when they catch u with no insurance, the cops take u into a very dark room with only a 2 double a torch, some lube, and dress up as ur profile picture and take u for a ride

but id expect at the worst u could have u license taken (if uve already got points) and get a fine

    A LOOSE ARSEHOLE!

I think driving without insurance can carry a fine of up to £5000 and also a prison sentence. Personally I hope you get dealt with harshly… next time you’re driving with no insurance it might be a young mother and her baby not a fox… and ya might not miss.

    god – I must be tired –

just got really confused reading the replies as I thought I’d read

‘what am I going to eat’ in the title…….

anyway think they’re quite harsh on this because of the possible implications of ‘what if’ – another car or persons were involved…. or you or someone were injured

    who cares?

haha, i read the title quickly and thought it said “what am i going to eat?”
lol… well it made me laugh anyway =]

for netrix its probably just gonna be humble pie rather than prison food, but he won’t be visiting the drive-in for a while…

serious answer : penalty will probably be a fine, driving ban and retest. Not having insurance twice is pushing it a bit! I don’t think prison is be proportionate when no one has been hurt though, and would hope the judge/magistrate agrees!

do you know my personal situation? do you know the implications this will have in my life?

thats right no you dont, i asked “what will i get” so i can re access how much this is gonna fuck my life up, fairly good chance i will have to leave work, because i cant get there

and as for the mum and kid senario

it could have been a mum and kid if i had insurence, so maybe shut your mouth 😉 and go hastle someone else

TBH I’d prepare for the worst – not so much prison but looking for another job that doesn’t involve driving…

that said, are their friendly people at work you can discuss this with?

Your offence is more that of an over-enthusiastic young man who over-estimated the cost of running a car, rather than a genuinely sociopathic crime. it wasn’t as if you had had an argument with someone and then deliberately run them over next time you saw them (people do this as there are less penalties for traffic offences than assault!)

Everyone makes mistakes in their lives and luckily you haven’t hurt anyone. If you are a valued employee at work, perhaps your employers may be prepared to cut you some slack? If not then look at it this way, they could just as easily have dumped you at any time due to downsizing/recession so its worth doing the job hunt..

if you don’t have to travel to sites etc, maybe its not as difficult to get to your work via other ways of transport than driving (unless of course you genuinely work out in the sticks, as a “London incomer” I appreciate how spread out East Anglia is!)

Incidentally the cops round here give the impression they will use every power possible to “take ravers off the roads” for traffic offences if they can, (when you attend a rave your car reg number gets put on a database and they then watch it for any further offences)

the authorities here aren’t daft and know that in East Anglia the rave scene depends on people being able to drive fairly long distances..

i spose im lucky in the fact that ive never driven to a rave myself, as not being legal would seriously put a downer on things specially if the car had been siezed.

i am prepairing for the worst, i know its going to be atleast a 6 month ban for racking up atleast 12 points, the problem is i live in the sticks and its atleast a 20min drive to work which is even further in the sticks, no1 lives out my way either 🙁

Well I’m afraid its your own fault mate.

You got caught before and you should’ve learned. If you can’t take the responsibilty for your actions you blatantly don’t deserve to be driving.

disagree man i live in next ends where public transport is the most useless thing ever, i was driving before i ahd my liscene and yes acidents are your own fault, but somtimes not driving just aint an option insurance or no. if you got arrested for attending a rave u wouldnt be to happy, nobody was hurt, the only mistake was driving without insurance, not crashing without it
