Also the AI is really good too, if they see your Uboats wake they will come after you and hit you with a depth charge run. My mistake, this wasnt the one I had, after waking up and submitted a request the ‘long forgotten, misfiled & obsolete’ memory sector of my brain the answer finally came back……………..
I had 688 Attack Sub on the Amiga
Looks very similar though, I think you could choose the USSR or USA, based on a Bridge layout and you had to select helm, engine room, periscope, chart room, torpedo room etc, and do the missions like hunt subs, hunt convoys protected by destroyers etc
Loved that game, pick off 2 or 3 freighters from a convoy then all the destroyers come after you and have evade or kill them, great stuff
Damn I want an updated version now, would never have even thought about it without this thread
