We’ve almost made it through winter at last. So what’s everyone looking forward to most about the summer? If I had to say, it’d definately be late evenings sat outside bars or finally getting home after a long night…

Oh man, I love the summer and HATE winter (its cold, everyones ill and miserable……). Whats not to love about summer (except sunburn maybe)? It’s warm, everyones in a good mood, it gets darker later, ice cream! roll on summer i say! :flowers:

the outside is accessable!

i love being able to sit in grass all day and smoke weed, drink beer and make (in) appprpriate suggestions to passing ladies….funfunfun!

everyone is in a way better mood, looks better, wears less, parties more and everyone is outside, so linking people is sooo easy.

plus brumbumbuuuum……partyseason!!!!

apart from the obvious stuff like summer parties, being able to explore the countryside and go on decent bike rides across the thames valley – in good weather 10-30 miles seems like nothing…

also watching random wildlife along the way – you don’t see these in a motor vehicle, last year there was a hare, two rats, a badger, loads of rabbits and cats (pets and feral barn cats) and I think (a grouse…)

This summer is going to be a bit different for me. Because this summer – I have a garden!
So I started reading books about how to grow organic vegetables. Mmmm, I like!
Its going to be a biological paradise. Welcome worms. Welcome wilderness. Welcome fungus! Welcome DIRT!
And I’ve started climbing, so I guess that “summer” from now on also means “going climbing”. (Go up)
And then I always go south for a while (go down), to visit friends and party a bit. I love outdoor partying, the sound is better.
Oh yes, wine! Wine is a big summer love.
And then…
And then…
and then…
(and then…)
…
etc.

excellent stuff 🙂 ; sadly I am not so good with growing stuff etc compared to things like fixing computers etc but always admire people who can make gardens thrive, and any efforts towards self-sufficiency..

i’ll go back to what I’ve said before and say its definately that feeling you get when your raving, outdoors at 6am, in just a pair of shorts as the sun comes up. Its my favourite thing in the world sitting there even when your sober, those of you who have not done so should definately make a point of watching the summer sunrise at your next party. Then back for a stomp.

love floating around in the atlantic (or any sea) watching the sun set 😎

and it’s pretty cool finding out the party is somewhere beautiful as the sun comes up … seeing all the trees and plants turning sunlight into life :weee:

cold pints of cider by the river :alcoholic

oiling my bike chain, airing my tent and going rambo :ar15:

sitting in the garden with our baby watching things grow…I have my first garden this year as well mry:cloud9:

yeah and another thing that I’m sure Paul m will vouch for is taking off in the campervan and sitting in random campsites with the hammocks up sipping a beer. That really is the life……mmmm summer, I can almost taste it! :horay: :horay: :horay:

Sounds pretty nice – watching babies/flowers grow. Enjoy.

Bike rides, walks, parties and generally being able to spend time outside in comfortable clothing.

I tend to be more motivated in the summer too.

I gotta agree with Elretardo,for me its seeing the sun come up when im at a party,i think its a primal thing…dancing round a fire all night till the sun comes up,people have been doing that since there were people(and fire obviously!)
