I think it’s fucked up how often Dads don’t even get to see their kids as much as they should be able to. Can you explain that please chelly? Because according to feminism both parents should have equal time to see their children right? So why don’t you campaign for that too while your at it?

If men started calling themselves Maleists and campaigning for better rights for men it would be an outrage. If there was a programme called Tight Men as oppsoed to Loose Women it would be an outrage.
On loose women they sit there and theres a story where a wife mutilates her husband (cuts off his genitalia) and they sit there laughing about it saying they would’ve done the same – if that was men that would be an outrage.
Women campaign for equal rights and shit but I don’t see them competing with men in the olympics. You know why? Because I guarantee hardly any women would win, that’s not me being sexist, that’s just biological fact.

To be honest I think the whole sexist thing is bullshit because both sides have their faults and inequalities, some are biological and can’t be helped and others are created by the whole situation of people wanting 100% equality yet actually trying to make their sex better then the other. The whole thing has been blown out of proportion.

Yes and if white people started saying they were proud of being white it’d be an issue as well. Why? Because why people in the UK and US have always been the dominant non-discrinminated group. Females throughout history have been an oppressed class of people for the sheer fact of their sex, men weren’t and that’s why feminism is relevant. Not to mention feminism is beneficial to men and women alike.

Never watched loose women though I’m guessing it’s a show? Tv isn’t reality.

Women competing with men in the olympics has nothing to do with feminism? Don’t even know what you’re trying to do with that one.

I don’t see feminism as being blown out of proportion when the US government offers 0 paid maternity leave and women are paid on average 10% than men for the same job with the same qualifications. Also that women are more likely to receive greater custody rights than men in court even if they don’t deserve it.

Funny you should say that as I just mentioned this in the post above!

I don’t know what your trying to say about that, I also think that being unable to be proud of being white is wrong too, what’s wrong with having pride in your skin colour? It doesn’t mean I don’t like people of other races, to be honest I couldn’t give a shit what colour skin anyone has that’s not what I judge people on, but if they are aloud to be proud of their race why can’t I? That in itself is wrong and racist

That’s why I can’t take feminism seriously – why are women aloud to be proud of being women and be all empowered just because they’re women yet men can’t? It’s just a double standard, watch that video, it will probably fall on ignorant ears but I hope you learn something from it. I’m not against the idea of equal rights for all i’m just against the idea of having a bullshit double standard because it’s only sexist when men do it.

“Also that women are more likely to receive greater custody rights than men in court even if they don’t deserve it. ” – Exactly, thats sexist, why don’t you campaign to have that removed? If you wanted equal rights for all surely that’s what you’d want? But oh wait, it gives women a privilege men don’t have, so you’ll ignore that.

100% this! Those who seek equality the most don’t really want equality, they actually want themselves and those like them to be more equal than others!

Right, I’m off to watch the 2nd half of the football, see you in a bit folks!

Yeah.. Martin Luther King Jr. didn’t sacrafice his life for equality of black Americans, he actually wanted to take over America and make it for Blacks only! Black Power!!

Hey if you’re oppressed and unequal, get over it, it’s not a problem for the majority therefore it doesn’t matter. Don’t try to upset the balance of society where I sit on the top please!

Firstly you need to understand the difference between misandry and feminism:

Feminism is the belief in equality for men and woman. You can be male or female to be a feminist.

Misandry is the hate or dislike of men. (the opposite of misogyny)
If a woman makes hate campaigns against men she is a being a Misandrist not a feminist.

Secondly fighting for equality between men and woman is about equal ‘rights’, it doesn’t mean you expect men and woman to be the same (woman can’t be in certain areas of the army or compete against men because obviously men are physically stronger.)

Secondly, you only have to look at the society around you and see feminism is a good thing, and an important thing at that.

Sexism is all around us for men and woman. Sexism means good looking woman are put on a pedestal and the more unfortunate looking woman get shunned aside.
Sexism means a man gets ridiculed for showing strong emotions.

The only reason you usually hear ‘womans rights’ and not ‘mens rights’ is well…woman have faced far far more problems with sexism through centuries of oppression and its only recently we are starting to get rights.

Men also face problem due to sexism and that is also bad. I support masculism as much as I support feminism. There just isn’t a huge call for it at the moment (maybe you should start one)

Where did we say that? You’re just reading what he said how you want to interpret it.

Izbecki I never said she hated men, I just said if she truly cared for the equal rights and everything of both sexes she would also campaign for stuff that is in the interest of males too.

I could go and quote chelly on fb saying she hates men but i won’t. even if she didn’t mean it she’s said it a lot. FACT. Been there, heard it.

Did you choose your skin color? No, so why are you proud? It’s not the object they’re proud of, it’s the challenges they’ve overcome that creates pride. Feminist are and rightfully should be proud that through activism they’ve granted women the right to vote and have made large strives towards equality. I’m not proud that I was born black, I’m proud that I’m allowed to be black and to vote and to feel okay with myself and not feel inferior. Proud that despite the fact my grandmother was in a segregated school she was able to raise and support my mom with limited education and job experience.

And I dunno what you’ve read but I was agreeing with you, saying that is a feminist issue. It’s an issue that feminist address because it is unequal, custody rights should be awarded to the parent that is best fit to parent. Another feminist issue that affects men, the social expectations of men to be macho and unfeeling. It’s wrong, feelings and emotions are not just for women.

Why are all of you so defensive? Is the fact that I want to be paid the same as you scary or something? When have you met a feminist that wanted to be better than you and not equal? Have you read any feminist theories? Do you know the different types? Are you all pulling these things out of your ass? I really don’t understand where this information is coming from.

Yeah makes sense, I hate my male friends, boyfriend, uncles, brother and grandfather.

Oh and everyone knows facebook is serious business! I make sure everything I say on there is real life. Also please show me this FACT of me saying I hate men?

    @p0ly 523196 wrote:

Guys have issues too… But we don’t have PC groups called Maleism. Should be a group combining the negative issues of both rather than focusing on one.

Yes you do (masculism) there are quite a few mens rights groups.
Feminism isn’t solely focused on woman either. Feminism is helping lots of issues that patriarchy are having a negative impact on men.

That whole argument is complete bullshit, I guarantee that most people who are proud of their skin colour are not proud of it because of the struggles they’ve faced – go to Asia, where being Asian is obviously the norm – are they not aloud to be proud of being asian because they are in asia? That is a moronic argument.
So you’re aloud to be proud because your a woman? Why can’t i be proud because i’m a man? We’ve faced many challenges and struggles for rights too – it’s not like ALL men have always had the votes, originally only the rich and powerful could vote, therefore all the people who are poor should be proud of that too should they?
Originally the working class were also enslaved, but no one talks about it today, does that mean they should be proud to because of the struggles they’ve faced? Bullshit. You’re just using a completely flawed and biased argument, and if what p0ly says is true about you hating men then i’ve lost a lot of respect for you tbh. Especially because you would’ve undermined your whole “omfg women are so opressed today!!!11” argument.

I’m defensive because I think what you’re doing is wrong, as I’ve said you either campaign for all or for none at all. When I want justice, rights and equality for people, I don’t want it just for some, I want it for all.

‘So you’re aloud to be proud because your a woman? Why can’t i be proud because i’m a man?’ Umm…you are.

Did MLK not fight for equality? Those who seek equality (MLK) don’t really want equality. How can this be interpreted any other way?
