But cats…when they show you affection its because they like you. I can feel comfortable with a cat knowing where I stand with it.
Really need to rescue a kitty when i find a house. (i was contimplating rescuing rats but Im not sure)

Are you high or something? If cats were people, they’d use you for sex and then fuck off til they were horny again. Dogs are there for the long haul, through good and bad, and they love you unconditionally. I disagree with your opinion crazy-cat-lady!

And if you become crazy rat lady, that’s even worse and I shall be sending the men in white coats round (not psychiatric nurses, the blokes from the animal testing lab – they’ll take them rats and test make-up and the like on em, just as nature intended)!

Indeed, I’m definitely a dog man as you can tell, I don’t see why people would choose cats over dogs other then for the fact they take a lot less care as they aren’t with you the majority of the time.

The way I see..

You have a bf/gf and they love you no matter what. Whether you cheat on them, hit them and control them; they always pander to your needs. To start with you think ‘wow this girl/boy really does love me unconditionally!’ Then after a while you start to think ‘How can they love me? I show them no respect!’
It turns out that its not so much ‘unconditional love’ as apposed to being ‘needy, pathetic and having no self respect for themselves.’

You meet another gf/bf. They stick up for them selves when you are mean to them and they still love you. Its real love because its love that you have earned from being a good gf/bf.

And with cats. If a cat was a person it would be clever, individual and have integrity. It would not submit and it would always have self respect.
If dogs where people they would be needy and pathetic. They would be the boy in the group that when the group was bored they would put itching powder down his pants. And still tail behind them for fear of having no friends.

Dogs always need telling that they are awesome.
Cats know they are awesome.

And rats? I love rats they make me laugh. They rub their genitalia on objects to say ‘I was here!’ I do that to; we have something in common.
