oh, and I found a random Manx cat (the one without the tail) which tried to follow me home on Friday evening (it was quite near my house). Perhaps it was more that the cat “found” me..
In the end I had to encourage it to go back to where it lived, I even considered taking it in for the weekend but it had a marked collar and was clearly some old couples pampered pet (they are rare round here) [1].. If I had taken it in I could envisage my door getting knocked at 7am the next day by Suffolk Constabulary and the RSPCA, thinking I was some chav who was intending to sell it in the free ads..
[1] Manx cats that is, not old couples, Suffolk and Essex are full of them.
