  • oh i also want to buy a rc helicopter.
are the 25 euro ones strong enough to carry my webcam or phone?

    1) Toshiba generally give you more bang for your buck (because they actually make a lot of their own hardware, especially mobos and hard drives, so a little cheaper for same spec).

    2) Phones are mostly easy to learn. I don’t really care so long as they let me talk to who I want and avoid who I don’t want to talk to.

    3) No, RC helicopters (electric powererd) have rubbish power to weight ratios and cannot lift much in the way of payload. Although if you had the world’s smallest video camera (with built in recorder) that might work. Find out the weight of your payload, and ask for a test drive with a similar weight attached.

I’ve got an RC chopper with a camera built on it, but it doesn’t get very far off the ground, I think it’s defective though (mby battery is dodgy)

In general the cheaper electric choppers will go sideways for miles in the slightest bit of wind (well until you crash land it or it gets out of range), as baritone off here knows all to well when he nearly crash landed my other one into the river next to mine after the wind swept it away. :laugh_at:

    Diamonds! Works every time

Well, let’s be honest here Muffy – nobody actually cares what you buy. They may go “ooh wow” when viewing your latest purchase but really they don’t give a shit.

So it’s probably more sensible to check it does what YOU want, rather than trying to impress people with economic spending muscle.
