  • Colgate sensitive stuff (the stuff that stops teeth hurting when you drink hot/cold liquids) as me dentist said it would sort out my teeth and indeed it did.

I just use any toothpaste… i seemed to be blessed with nice teeth since a young age and never really had any issues. just my gums which are a bit fucked think that’s due to alcohol.

    I love the listerine though

The trouble with ‘good teeth’ is its time limited,

I never had any fillings or probs ….. Til now 🙁

Too many bad things in the gums, added to genetics- patents with gum disease, not great 🙁

i used to get fillings, haven’t had one for ages not quite sure why.

Well I know why I havent had a filling in over a decade………….. cause I havent been to a dentist lol

Makes me wonder how much of the treatment they give is unnecessary

Main cause of tooth loss is gum problems I believe. Its worth seeing a hygienist if you can afford to and essential to floss if you want to keep those teeth in the later years. I am still working on flossing twice a day seems such a hassle but I am told that if I don’t tooth loss is inevitable in later life.

I must admit I only go to the dentist when necessary……

They are horrid people (in my experience) however having just discovered a hole me thinks I’m gonna be at one soon 🙁

my first dentist had ‘half a Chelsea’ smile, scared the fuck out of me for years!!

It really is necessary to go every 6 months. Perhaps find a new one? I am lucky I know him he is an old family friend, though I still hate it.

Same here, my first dentist should not have treated children, his hands were just to big to work on childrens teeth, my 2nd was a fucking liability who made many mistakes ( including breaking off a drill bit which is still in my jaw ) and I found out years later that she had been struck off so I went for decade from late teens to late twenties without seeing a dentist, then when I got an inheritance I went to Bright Smiles the cosmetic dentist who replaced all my old fillings with porcelain inlays, and two teeth with caps to straighten them but that cost a fortune, so basically I dont trust NHS dentists and cant afford good private ones so now havent been in a decade again.

for years i went every 6 months to pay £40 just to get told my teeth are fine move along… So i began just going once a year now to pay £40 to get told my teeth are fine..

So nobody likes my shocked and appalled pics…..

took me ages to find some of them too.
