In theory I’d take it and run tbh but there again i’d have the nagging doubts over the situation with cameras in ATM’s so depends on my mood whether I’d take the risk on it!

That happend to me once actually I was behind some guy and he left some money in the cash point, must have been about 500 quid aswell, which I could always do with.

I chased after him and gave it back. Dozey man didn’t even realise. It felt good though, much better than the feeling of guilt.

This is very unlikely to happen these days, if the transcation were being carried via the chip on the card (which most are these days) then by LINK rules it would have to be “card before cash” in other words the cardholder would have had to remove his card before the machine would issue the cash. If the cardholder didnt remove the card the machein would withdral the card and never issue the cash.
There are a few expections to this rule that would include some transaction on a magstripe and some machines that drop notes one by one into a tray but in the main it aint gonna happen….sorry:wink:

I am confussed, as if they give you the card first, you could still walk off and leave money in the machine! Or were you talking about something different?

(or maybe i am still half asleep) :laugh_at:
