We were talking about our holiday plans with a work mate yesterday. So what are your plans for this year and do any of you have interesting recommendations? Right now I’m trying to decide between going to the red sea (Egypt) and Australia…
i’ll be spending the whole of August in the south of Sweden in a little cottage by the sea
not exciting in an Ibiza type way, but perfect for a new dad :biggreen:
staying in the United Kingdom – managed to get more leave this year but cannot really afford travelling too far TBH…I certainly want to visit Wales again this summer, and perhaps Scotland (I have never been there!)
come to scotland…lovely place 🙂 an in summer theres a party every few weeks
At the moment I’m going to France for the FrenchTek for a week, then to Spain at the end of May for a long w/e, then I’ll be heading to Australia for a month over August / September.
Haven’t got any other plans…….yet!
I’d quite like to go to Scotland and Norfolk somewhere along the line.
Right,
Truck transport to Frenchtek – check
Flights to Spain – check
Flights to and around Oz (booked this lunchtime) – check
Passport – check
Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmm, well, I’m taking a trip to Amsterdam for a few days in July and going straight from there to the Fullmoon fest in Hamburg, thats my main trip.
As its summer I’ll be making regular camping trips round yorkshire on weekends between parties, and also going to the lakes or Wales if I can get a couple of long weekends.
Me and my mate are heading round Europe this year.
Going to sonica psytrance festival in Italy at the start of august, then working our way around europe using an interail pass.
I’m going to South America for a month in November.
Booked this morning. Sweet.
Well this summer I am going to Ibiza with a few friends, then to France to see my parents, and then I think I’m off the spain. In the winter I am going to switzerland and in autumn I am going to Barbados…Hoping to have a good time and I can’t wait been saving up for these holiday for 3 years….it’s goin to be – as my friend Tony would say ”Gggrrrrrrrreat!”
no where. no funds. a few festies tho, if that counts.
really wanna go to mongolia, my ladyfreind went there last year, and i’ve been reading up on it, sounds amazing (if a little cold).
i’ve never left europe yet, one day….

Same….I’m going to try an get money together for polskatek though. If not I’m just gona sit arround and try and earn some cash.
Booked this morning. Sweet.
which country?
i’ve been to Chile, Bolivia and Argentina before
wouldn’t recommend Bolivia right now, as they are on the verge of civil war!
but Chile is my favourite country that I’ve visited so far… and Argentina has a lot gong for it (despite recent years of serious economic turmoil)
have a wicked trip… very envious
Finish exams on 24th (Yeah!) Then flying to Provence (South of France) for 10 days- family holiday. Back to UK on 10th July, go to work at Glade from 13th-17th. Then going to Sharm El Sheikh in Eygpt on the 5th August for 2 weeks to do some conservation work. (Basically going diving every day!)
Site- if your going to the Red Sea, get some diving in- the clearest waters in the world! And serious biodiversity. If you want to go to Australia instead- i’d suggest Perth. It is the most beautiful city i’ve ever been in, really clean. There is a reef there which is also fantastic for diving- that’s where I learnt.
More amazing things to do in Oz are on the east coast though. get out of Sydney asap (just a warm London) and head north. Do a 4×4 trek across Fraser Island, cruise the Whitsundays, and go diving on the Gt Barrier reef. You can get packages for not too much.
But I won’t get started on OZ, cause I might go on a bit!
i like copenhagen meself
