I might be reading the site incorrectly or its looking odd due to adblockers/privacy software i use but the links I see suggest you need to take a different test for each substance. In any case I’ve genuinely not touched any illegal ones since 2009, stopped with mephedrone since 2010 or whenever it was banned.

Around that time a lot of my then circle of friends who took illegal substances drifted apart anyway; nearly all of my current real life friends hardly touch drugs if they do them at all; and I since scaled down my socialising/hedonism loads due to more responsibilities at work (although with them come some more genuinely interesting and challenging projects).

I simply no longer enjoy getting high as much as I once did when younger. Have used some NPS to varying extents but been scaling that down as I find it still adds to stress on the mind and body which makes minor illnesses worse.

I think this is one thing all the prohibitionists forget – moderate users who are left alone and not made to hate society due to arrests, being judged by others and/or not being able to find other useful things to do with their lives are mostly going to grow out of regular drugs use by their 40s/50s.

They probably won’t take these substances regularly again until age 80+ when the health services tend to hand out benzos and opiates like sweets anyway because bits of peoples bodies start giving pain by then.

I got the impression it is aimed at monitoring current recreational use amongst Europeans – in our part of the world it is extremely rare for a healthy young adult (even with ADHD) to be repeatedly prescribed amfetamine type stimulants and if they do it is more likely a metyhlphenidate type preparation rather than dexamfetamine.

I agree with you that the site does not even attempt to assess past drug use but am not sure if there really is a great risk to health from moderate past recreational use; it may not even be a particularly big social or health problem.

the site claims to be independent – it may be but but it is not particularly easy to track who is funding it. It is based in the UK and does appear to have links with English language liberal media organisations across Europe. It is not a bad idea but I think is somewhat Anglocentric (there appears to be no option for users to conduct the survey in their own first language if it is not English) but also Eurocentric without openly admitting this.

I think might even skew the data towards being dominated by slightly older ( age > 25 ) middle class European young adults of higher intelligence with liberal political views; which may or not be intentional as the results would unsurprisingly come out as pro decrim/legalisation. A lot of the UK liberal media (and to a lesser extent that of the Netherlands and Denmark) increasingly tries to offset “bad news” with fluff fashion/lifestyle articles (other countries media simply doesn’t report crimes and accidents claiming “privacy laws”) and legalised party drugs sold on a commercial basis would be seen as a cash cow to prop up declining ad revenue and newspaper/content revenues.
