Boyfriend pillow for Japan singles
Japan's single women are being offered the ultimate sleeping partner - a comfort to cuddle up to, but one which does not snore or make demands.
The Boyfriend's Arm Pillow, shaped like a man's torso with one sturdy arm, has been on sale since December and has so far been snapped up by 1,000 singles. Manufacturer Kameo said the pillow's shape also keeps the body balanced.
One woman, Junko Suzuki, told AP: "It makes me relaxed... I can hold the arm and feel something warm at my side". The pillow is only available in Japan, where it costs about 8,500 Yen ($80), and is available in blue, pink or green.
Ms Suzuki, who is separated from her husband, says the pillow has other advantages. "It keeps holding me all the way through. I think this is great because this does not betray me," she told AP.
They do come up with some very bizzare idea's over in Japan, Would probably scare the shit out of me in the morning:you_crazy
apple are consumerist bastards… well i jumped on the band wagon and got myself a fancy ipod a couple of years ago... created a nice shiny bank of music on itunes and lived it up with taking my music everywhere...
a few weeks back my ipod broke and ive got no guarentee on it so i cant send it off to be fixed, and the clever (and very rich) bastards at apple have made it so that now all my music is in mp4 format or something and will only work on apple hardware. a lot of cds were either borrowed, stolen or ive lost or sold them so i cant replace my music and build up my collection again. they no longer make the basic ipods i have, and im not sure im prepared to fork out 180 quid for another.
does anyone know if there is any kind of software i can get that will convert my music from mp4 format to mp3 so i can get a nice cheap mp3 player?
Not A Joke But Made Me Laugh
A German woman in Dusseldorf blocked the entrance to an underground station when she mistook it for a subterranean car park, police said on Wednesday.
The 52-year-old drove her Volkswagen Beetle across the pavement and into the entrance, where it came to a halt five steps down. Police estimated the damage to the station at around 1,500 euros (£1,000). The VW Beetle-Cabrio remained balanced on the fifth step and the woman was able to get out unaided and unharmed.
The accident happened in the Nordstrasse underground station, in the centre of Dusseldorf. A truck later towed the car out of the stairwell.
'Not dangerous'
A local newspaper said the woman was more shocked and embarrassed than hurt. A similar incident happened four years ago in the same underground station, when a 50-year-old man from Dortmund also mistook it for an underground car park. Andrea Blome, head of Traffic Management in Dusseldorf said: "We had only recently transformed the entrance to the station".
She said the stairwell had been painted a brighter colour and extra lighting had been installed. But she said no further changes were planned following the latest incident, and that the station was not considered dangerous.

Live flight and noise data in Google Earth I discovered this excellent feed of Google Earth data at the weekend which allows you to monitor in real time the movements of flights across the Netherlands and the noise they make...
To get it working you'll need the latest version of Google Earth and the following data feed...
Google Earth: http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html
Netherlands data feed: http://radar.vlieghinder.nl/
Once you've started the program and added the feed, make sure you enable the temporary location added by the feed and zoom in on the Netherlands. You should also remove some of the detail from the feed . The noise informaiton is represented by coloured tubes with numbers on which represent the level of noise recorded.
A similar feed is also available for the US although but it comes without the noise information...

Innocent man to pay for jail time As i got in from work last night i say them mention this on the news:
BBC News wrote:
A 37-year-old man jailed for a crime he did not commit is being charged almost £7,000 for his time in prison.
Warren Blackwell from Woodford Halse, Northamptonshire, has been told the sum will be deducted from compensation to cover savings on rent and food. He spent three years in jail convicted of sexually assaulting a woman with a history of false claims against men. The Ministry of Justice said deductions were normal procedure and should not be called "bed and breakfast" costs.
An appeal hearing said Mr Warren's conviction was unsafe because the woman had made similar accusations in the past about other men. Mr Warren was told he would receive compensation minus £6,800, which has been assessed as the amount of money he had saved from normal expenses while in jail. He said: "I was flabbergasted when I was told. How can they justify charging innocent people when murderers live rent free?"
The Ministry of Justice said in a statement: "It's wrong to refer to the deductions as 'bed and breakfast' as they are made in respect of the costs an individual would have had to pay out of their net income on things such as a mortgage or rent. "The purpose of the compensation is to put an individual back into the financial position they would have been in but for the miscarriage of justice, but not to a better position."
Mr Blackwell said there was no chance of that happening in his case because his legal bills were huge. "My parents contributed tens of thousands of pounds and friends added to the fighting fund." The amount of Mr Blackwell's compensation is yet to be decided, although he said he thought it would be in the region of £100,000.
Ok fair enough the bloke might get a load of cash in compensation, but really they cant take this money off him. The poor bloke has had to spend 3 years of his life in prison and also have the tag of "rapist" put on him.
If they really want the money back that it cost them to hold him in prison, shouldn't they go after his accuser for this?
Also what is this about not naming her? They should name and shame her if she has a history of doing this as it is plain wrong and could really fuck with someones life :you_crazy
Crazy arsed bitch :hopeless:
according to cilla, the internet is flooded not sure what is happening here, anyone replying to Cilla threads gets a single page containing the word "flood" (there isn't even any HTML associated with this it seems!)
I know there's been a lot of rain but this is strange..

Inner Peace Something for you to ensure inner calm for yourself.......
I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and
we all could use more calm in our lives.
By following the simple advice I heard on a Medical TV show, I have
finally found inner peace. A Doctor proclaimed the way to achieve
inner peace is to finish all the things you have started, something for you
to ensure inner calm for yourself.......
So I looked around my house to see things I started and hadn't
finished and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle
of Merlot, a bottle of Shhhardonay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of
vocka, a pockage of Prunglies, tha mainder of bot Prozic and Valum scriptins,
the res of the Chesescke an a bax a cholates.
Yu haf no idr who gud I fel.
Peas sen dis orn to dem yu fee ar in ned ov inr pece.
