2006-07-01 HouseBreakin’ & Courier DJs Sat 1st July After such a lovely party and so much good feedback, we are doing another party on Saturday 1st July. Unfortunately the Departure Lounge crew are unavailable for this one so it will be HouseBreakin' and the Courier DJs this time.
All the details will be posted soon, but I can say that the venue is sorted and we will be having 2 rooms again, but it will be a little different musically this time. Please don't speculate about where it may be. ;)
The basement room will be a harder room with tekno, hard tekhouse and breaks, whilst the upstairs will be funky breaks, more tribal tekhouse and some eclectic beats, including a dub/ska set by Skarper from Unsound.

ASBO GIVEN TO PREVENT ILLEGAL RAVES IN OXFORDSHIRE
(TUESDAY, JUNE 13) A man has been given an ASBO preventing him from organising illegal raves in Oxfordshire. This follows the first ASBO of this kind in the country which was also in Oxfordshire earlier this year.
The two year order was imposed on 22-year-old James Christopher McKenzie of Long Hide, Princes Risborough at Didcot Magistrates' Court yesterday (12/6).
The ASBO effectively bans him from organising and performing at illegal raves which have blighted the peaceful Oxfordshire countryside for many residents.
Illegal raves had been organised on the Oxfordshire Ridgeway at West Ilsley off the A34 and at Watlington off Hill Road near the M40 in November last year. Police closed down the first rave and seized equipment at the second.
PC Jimmy May said: "Obtaining this ASBO is the result of a lot of hard work by police and their partner agencies. This is the second ASBO of this nature in Oxfordshire and is still only the second in the country.
"The first ASBO, earlier this year was also for rave organising in Oxfordshire and has been extremely successful. The man who was given the order has not breached his ASBO at all and tells us when he is taking part in legal and legitimate events.
"Communities have suffered long enough with illegal raves and securing this second ASBO makes it quite clear that we will not be soft targets for rave organisers.
"These events are often associated with trespass, drug use and criminal damage. They have caused major disruption and distress to landowners and local residents.
"It is not about spoiling anyone's fun. We want to protect those attending as well as support landowners and local residents. We fully support legal events in which all aspects of community safety have been considered."
Cllr Bob Johnston, who chairs the Vale of White Horse District Council's licensing committee, said: "We in the Vale welcome this decision and hope it deters anyone thinking of holding similar illegal events in the area."

Bye Bye Deramy Idolistic Views Of Raving (London party troubles) Ive finally seen the dark side of raving, ive been to parties in london loads of times and there quality, but to all the parties ive been to theres been security and an entrance fee (£3-5). I neva minded this as inside the atmosphere was safe and there were no rudes to be seen,
This weekend i went to a nice big 4rig party in london which was free and had no security, which meant anyone cud cum, but all the local rudes heard/heard about the party and came down,
As soon as i got there i saw a guy get beaten to fuck and have everything jacked off him, his pockets were ripped apart his face was bleedin and that was right next to a rig
We did the sensible stay in a group close to the speakers and we saw no more trouble, i assumed the victim was either a dealer or well ruined an that i wud be fine, when the sun was cuming up we headed back to the car,
We walked round a corner and then i was on the floor and saw one of my mate gettin hit to the floor too, i recived a few kicks before i was quickly back to my feet and being punched a few times in the head, all there hands were in my coat & jeans pockets, (luckily i only had a wrap of md an sum green in a stash pocket) i pushed the two closest to me away and pretty much ran back to the rave,
I met my friend who had also been knocked too the floor a short way down the path, his face pretty swollen and the tell tale signs of a large black eye,
I still had not seen my other mate an his girlfriend who were alking with us, we headed back to a rig that we had another mate, found him and told sum rig members what was happenin (hope they sorted it out)
A few minutes later we found my mate an his girlfriend, they jacked his fone, but apparently the largest rude told them to leave his girlfriend alone
We then headed another route back to the car an met a few other people who had had a similar experince, including a midget, non of us were in the mood to go back so we just headed home,
So ive finally seen the darkside (did take a good few years tho), but we are easy targets, we'll all have drugs money an a phone and most are too fucked to fight back, i definitly was id just taken my first eva hit of 2ct-7 as well as mushrooms and md, an its a dog eat dog world, there only learnin from example,
But enough about that 5mins of the rave, it was a heavy set up, with wicked music, had a well good time when i was dancin, an it aint put me off london, although i was havin 2nd thoughts about going to scum but i recon ill still go,
But I cant help but think that brused an blooded bodies were strewn in the long grass at that party, or how many fuckin phones, wallets & drugs thoses rudes had on sunday afternoon, hopefuly they wnt be smart enough to use the partylines on them,
